... the fearless hunters traveled far and wide, and finally caught and caged a Rarie Bird..... as they were making their way back over the high mountains along a steep path alongside a deep chasm.. one of the porters slipped.... and the Rarie Bird fell over the cliff... all the way down he could be heard singing......... "It's A Long Way To Tip A Rarie"
I just KNEW there had to be a reason the theme from Forrest.. Forrest Gump was running through my head..... |

Apparently... But if you listen closely it was "a long way to tickle Kerry". I'm sure when my time comes it may be ACDC "It's a long way to the shop if you want a sausage roll." edit: I have a new appreciation of the Tipperary tune, the "tickle Kerry" shows we have not changed a lot as people, take the piss and have fun with words, but I'd rather tickle Kerry than go for a sausage roll, even with marty sauce.. |

When I get my walker, I am going to have it pimped.
I have been playing music since I was a kid, so I found that show very moving. I play three instruments, and curiously, I am not overly drawn to the popular music of my lifetime. Most of what I listen to was recorded before I was born. I even have an album of piano rolls made by Jelly Roll Morton. So my collection of favourites is not going to be what my peers listen to. |
