Title: Turnbull in decline.
Post by Aussie on Mar 16th, 2016 at 11:18am
Link.

Quote:
Notably, the PM has dropped 10 points on "Understands the problems facing Australia" and increased seven points on being "out of touch with ordinary Australians".

This was one of the indicators that went south when Turnbull's first attempt at leading the Liberal Party imploded in 2009.

The self-styled Man of Vision has also suffered a similar seven-point drop in being perceived "visionary", while the six point increase in "superficiality" embeds doubts about his commitment to deliver on stated beliefs.

The wildcard here is that perceptions of the PM's aggression, usually seen as a negative characteristic but also sometimes a political necessity, have also declined sharply.

Did it escape your attention that Abbott was so incompetent that he had to be knifed by his own party after less than two years in the job?

Turnbull is a better leader than Abbott but so is anyone else in the Parliament.

The noise to signal ratio on this measurement is unfortunately quite high even though most might believe in your assertion: I WOULD CALL IT A STATISTICALLY INSIGNIFICANT RESULT!

What is leadership is the question so success reigns from your post!!

Malcolm Turnbull is hamstrung by the right wing of the Liberal Party who oppose much of what Malcolm stood for in the past....What Malcolm stands for in the present will be revealed in the budget and what the right wing decide to accept!!!

The left will condemn him if he cuts from the lower income earners, the right will condemn him if he touches their concessions and business will condemn him if he fails to give them a tax cut....Malcolm Turnbull will be condemned no matter what he does!!!
