Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk says she is not ruling out an early election in the wake of Rob Pyne quitting the Labor Party.

Key points:
•Rob Pyne says he has been "muzzled" on issues facing his electorate
•Ms Palaszczuk prepared to call an early election
•Opposition will not try to force an election with a no-confidence motion in Parliament

The disgruntled far north Queensland MP said he had been "muzzled" from speaking out about issues facing his electorate.

He is the second Labor MP to quit the minority Palaszczuk Government, leaving Labor and the LNP with 42 seats each.

Independent far north Queensland MP Billy Gordon quit Labor in March 2015.

Queensland Opposition Leader Lawrence Springborg said on Monday night the LNP would not try to force an election with a no-confidence motion in Parliament.

Ms Palaszczuk said she would "absolutely" call an early election if someone stood in her way.

"I am making it clear to Queenslanders - I am here for them," she said.

"I am here to govern in

Like no-one new that was going to happen, female labor politicians tend to be of a very low standard as history consistently provides.

When you force a quota you will always get very low standards and this Tuckshop Lady fails to even meet this already low standard.

Sadly she does not, not by a long stretch.

At least newman gave is a red hot try, this useless lump won't lift a finger to fix anything.

And I doubt she will last longer than 1 short term either, but longer than she deserved.

Actually her and anna blight are both very capable Tuck Shop Ladies and used those limited skills to bring QLD to its knees with their ineptitude.

They are referred to as Tuck Shop Ladies to verify the sum total of their capabilities and aptly so.

if that is the collective view Big Ol, then why was Newman and his ilk so positively removed from power after just 1 term?      Queenslanders - according to the polls - seem quite happy with their tuckshop lady - perhaps the LNP should do canteen duty as well and get some pointers

"So positively removed" s a bit of a stretch for a minority government, hanging on by the skin of its teeth.  ;D

The Tuckshop Lady has been on the thin edge of the wedge with voters since she got in, and the less she does, (which is close to nothing) the less QLD tolerates her. Stop try to deflect from the fact, with all these LNP red herrings, the fact is she is fkking useless and will be gone soon enough.

We shall see my Raffie friend - I am just wondering if there are any LNP left and, is Springborg the preferred Premier.  I have left my other home in Cairns, but from what I hear and see, the "Tuck Shop Lady" will probably get another term - all the polls suggest that as well.

The reports that I have read indicate she is considered a do nothing fool, which would seen right on the money, if you look and see what she has achieved so far.

Queenslanders hate incompetence and they hate laziness and she has these in spades.

First Gillard and now Palachuck. Not good examples of how Labor's female quota provides worthy candidates.

Say what you like Armpit.  Both have achieved what you would never get close to.

Palaszczuk is going okay, and she has Government under control in pretty uncomfortable circumstances, just like Gillard did.  In my time, I never seen a Liberal lead a minority Government in Queensland or in Canberra.  These women have.
