I'm wondering why no one has considered this sooner. Look at the size of the baby. How does a baby that can't even crawl pull a pot of boiling water (which by comparison would be like an adult male trying to lift a bag of cement over his head) off a table up high onto herself?

No you didn't, otherwise your 1st comment would not have been made, as the article clearly states several times that the wound is the result of an accident.

Quote:
The allegations against the mother are at odds with Lady Cilento Hospital records stating the child spilt hot water on her chest and that there is "no evidence that the burn injury is non-accidental".

Quote:
"This family has been in hospital for three weeks surrounded by people trained to pick up any hint of abuse. The only abuse doctors picked up was that the baby was at risk if she was sent back to detention in the care of the minister," she said.

Much like yesterday's "DEPOSITS" Dutton is once again in La La land

Please tell us all how a 12 month-old baby girl that can't walk - let alone crawl - can reach up to a table and pull a pot or kettle of boiling water onto herself. Even if she only grabbed the table cloth dangling over the side of the table, babies do not have the manual dexterity or strength in their hands that is required to accomplish such a feat. My two son's at 12 months barely had the strength to hold one of my fingers. So please, prove me wrong.

Are you feeding them?

I don't think you've actually had any contact with children, have you?

Must like you're a business owner, nurse, & now apparently a farmer on the north coast or some such sh#t.

Is your name Peter Dutton?

Around now your baby's play will probably start changing from mastering his fine motor skills (he's got that thumb-and-forefinger grasp down pat) to exercising larger muscles. Some children this age have an attention span of two to five minutes for quiet activities - though your baby's favourite games may not be all that quiet.

He probably thinks it's fun to push, throw, and knock everything down. He'll give you a toy as well as take one, and likes games where he can put things such as blocks in containers and dump them out. This also works with pots and pans - he can put little ones inside bigger ones, as well as thrill to the loud sounds they make when banged together.

Gawd, you really are quite stupid if you think a 12 month-old baby has the strength to do this. But hey, that's you, right? ;D ;D ;D

They're the lowest of the low.

Who would have thought that the Libs could get any worse?

"The medical report in this case clearly states that there is no evidence the injury was non-accidental.

"When it comes to who to trust out of Peter Dutton or the medical professionals who are trying to protect children on Nauru, I know who I'll back every time,"

What's even worse are the rightards on here (and in the wider community) who continue to support these corrupt, unscrupulous, lying rats.

So lets get this straight , a baby has to the strength to lift its own body weight at 9 months and take steps but you think it couldn't move a bowl of hot water?

I don't doubt they are and that they have an agenda. They had no right to block the sending of that baby back to Nauru once she was successfully treated for her superficial burns.

Burns? It's child abuse, Armchair. How could the doctors discharge her to the care of her family?

If medical staff did that here in NSW, they'd be up for malpractice.

No, I mean pouring boiling water on them. They're probably trying to get rid of evil spirits or something like that.

Not our government, Armchair. Why would we take a baby who'd had boiling water poured all over her? We want people who can take care of themselves.

You know, decent white people.

I note the medical report didn't include the illegals' race.

You clearly want the boats coming again, with all the people that hop on them. Why not just say so? You want the drownings to start happening again, and the rapes of Australian women. Why do you want this to happen?

Who give a fkkk, at least they're not bothering us any-more, now they're fkkking up europe.

It costs us nothing for europe to deal with their drowning reffos.

If that idiot abbott did anything he stopped the reffos from sucking up our tax dollars, naval operations, detention  and endless welfare.

Only the white boats and rapes, Armchair. They're compatible.

We don't want the illegals. These people practice black magic by burning their own babies.

You should try feed your sons some real food instead of crap all the time. My son was walked to the corner store (assisted) at 10 months of age. By 12 months he was racing me to the corner store

Pulling a bowl of water down requires little to no strength, just a well placed bowl, a firm grip and a little weight.

Exactly. Those doctors are no more than liars. Race traitors, all of them. They should be struck off immediately.

Nope. This is my land. If she didn't well it's back to plain old detention. Proof will be hard to gain. It doesn't mean she didn't do it.

I have no proof you didn't beat your grandmother to a bloody pulp  .... doesn't mean you didn't do it :D :D
Well I'm not presenting my grandmother to the authorities with an underlying motive. Am I??

so what did you do with her? bury her in the garden perhaps?
You've made your mind up numptoid. You do know there is a possibility this mother did burn her kid to get a visa. Don't be so close minded. People have done worse.

Because an allegation was made against the mother, and it's the job of the police to follow up on such allegations.

Don't you know how the law works, Homo?

"Queensland Police confirmed they received a child protection notification but said yesterday the investigation had been finalised."

She's sitting in a urn honey bunny.

Oh, that's a relief.

Nope. This is my land. If she didn't well it's back to plain old detention. Proof will be hard to gain. It doesn't mean she didn't do it.

You've made your mind up numptoid. You do know there is a possibility this mother did burn her kid to get a visa. Don't be so close minded. People have done worse.

there's a possibility that she is one day going to be the queen of England too .... and?
It isn't that unreal John. I'm just trying to work out how a little baby got hold of some extremely hot water. It's something not many people would do.

Of course there isn't evidence. What evidence would there be? But there is a motive. That's how they get men who have killed their wives.

What's wrong with your grandmother, Homo? Is she okay?
She's sitting in a urn honey bunny.

Oh, that's a relief.
I'll invite you around and we can snort her up mixed with some nose candy if you are interested. Keith Richards did the same thing  and he survived.

I'd like that, Homo. We can perv on your next-door neighbor in her burqa. If she gets stroppy, we'll teach her some manners.

Aussie-style.
Are you a bi girl karnal??

But of course. We're all friends here, Homo.

But hey, that's you, right? ;D ;D ;D

I have to agree with dsmithy70 on this one. A 12 mo baby is often walking, always crawling and pulling and grabbing on everything. In fact, it would be a rare child that isnt doing that. When you talk about a baby baraely holding a finger you are referring to a 12 DAY old.

People have done worse.

there's a possibility that she is one day going to be the queen of England too .... and?
It isn't that unreal John. I'm just trying to work out how a little baby got hold of some extremely hot water. It's something not many people would do.

you ever been camping homo? you do realise that boiling water in a tent isn't quite the same as doing so in a kitchen? it's very easy for kids to grab things from the edge of a table. .. in fact it's a very common cause of injury

In a tent at the time where they?

Yes.

They were in a tent.

That's why John mentioned the bit about the tent.

Try to keep up, Homo.
so where's my link?

Jesus Homo, don't you read the news before coming to your biased, racist conclusions?

"She was admitted to hospital in January after she was accidentally burnt by boiling water in her parent's tent at the Nauru Detention Centre."

"The child, known as Asha, was badly burned by boiling water in a tent on Nauru in January."

I believe you. Still doesn't prove that the mother didn't burn her kid to get a visa.

where do you live Afghanistan? This is Australia, the onus is on YOU to prove her guilt, not the other way around. :D :D

Google search - Baby burn hot water

1st on page 1 - http://kidshealth.org/en/parents/burns.html

From website 1st paragraph
From kids washing up under a too-hot faucet to an accidental tipping of a coffee cup, burns are a potential hazard in every home. In fact, burns, especially scalds from hot water and liquids, are some of the most common childhood accidents.

Do you have to practice to be this thick??? :-/

It comes naturally to Homo.
Oh Pecca. Get your hand off it. I get you every time. You act like a sheila with her pants pulled down after I've traded posts with you.

I've shown you that scalds are one of the most common childhood accidents.

I've shown you that the doctors say there's no evidence to suggest that it was not an accident.

I've shown you that the police have finished dealing with the matter.

I've shown you that they were indeed in a tent.

Tell me once more, Homo, how did you "get me"?
Calm down. There's a investigation going isn't there? That's what the media is saying. I'm just going off reports.
no, there isn't ... police have concluded their investigation .... why don't you at least read the damn article before making such a fool of yourself

Nonsense. This baby is a Muslim. We don’t want them here.

Homo is right. We’ll wait for the police to pronounce it innocent.

Let’s not jump to any conclusions here, okay?

Yes, but they can always reopen it. You stop apologizing for these people.

Most libraries have them, JS. Or you can buy a set off the door-to-door salesman if he’s in the area.

The police have concluded their investigations, so no.
How long ago did that happen? I know Dutton called for an investigation recently.

There needs to be another investigation, Homo. I'm not satisfied with this.

Those parents are tinted. They're clearly to blame here.

Can you believe it? They tried to get into our country.

You are a walking edition of it.

So people can just ask you and you will provide the relevant entry.  A great service, PB, provided free of charge.  Good work.
