What an awful prospect this is for generation after generation of our native Australians. It's something of immense sadness that for so many of them this limbo of hopelessness is the reality they wake up to every day of their lives.

The Australian 'success story' will not be complete until every Australian aborigine is living to the fullest of his potential in circumstances which we others enjoy as a matter of course for being citizens of this country.

Tough love is the only solution for moving the aboriginal community towards a brighter and more fulfilling experience of life that is based upon education and a steady wage for being productive members of society.

It's part of what ails them that drives them to petty crime. The Chinese in Africa are turning Useless Bastards (Gandhi's words) into productive cotton-pickin' Black Fellas.

There's always hope, but it has to come by way of enforced disciplines etc.

If I was the Minister for Aborigines I would appoint Aquascoot to be the Drill Sergeant for knocking those rural and Outback aborigines into shape. He might have to tie them to a fence for awhile and bash them with a saddle to get their attention, but like in The Dirty Dozen - by the time Aquascoot had put them through their paces they would be ready to enter the working life the same as the rest of us.  8-)

It doesnt matter how good a coach is, if their players are garbage. 

Its no good comparing abos to africans or chinese or whatever - abos are unique.

Get aqua to go up there (NT) and give them half a dozen lectures a day on alpha males behaviour etc.

Our Abos are not 'garbage'.

For generations in Britain the young arseholes of society were ordered by the courts into one of the services ... from which years later they would emerge with distinction and honour.

This is what our Aboriginal youths need - a few years in the services to give him a respectable place in mainstream society, and to help them assimilate with others outside of their normally tight circle of aboriginal family and friends.

Aborigines are good footy players - and that energy and striving for excellence can be used in other fields of endeavour.
