There is actually some talk in Liberal ranks about the possibility of a Senate Majority. It is a long shot and would require things to fall our way, but with the level of anti-labor sentiment and so much of it not going to the Greens or other minors, the chance is alive. Certainly, at this rate the next election in 2018 is probably a definite for a senate majority.

Oh, we can smell the fear. It is the fear by labor supporters that they are on their own Titanic head for a disaster of record-breaking proportions.

Rather a rise than a fall. An in any case, the point of my post was that this was the first time anyone has seen you accept a poll that shows a rise in liberal votes. It is such a rarity most are in shock still.

You might care to conjure up an imaginary Lib win but I see them lose. They might even switch back to abbott again, won’t take much more than 1 bad poll, and that bad poll and other bad polls is on its way.

On paper it's pretty hard to see the Libs losing. Sure, an increase in the GST seems likely but so does a carbon tax (giving a tax another name doesn't change anything). Apart from that, Turnbull is intelligent and personable while Shorten's a dill.Elsewhere; Morrison, Bishop and Dutton have high profiles that seem hard for the left media to ridicule. Joyce for the leader of the Nats will usher in a lot of rural support. Lastly, the Libs have either punted or demoted non-performers. Over on the left we have the same pack of nobodies, has beens and never weres. The only one I'd rate is Albanese but unfortunately the puppet masters  don't. Letting in the boats again, flooding the country with Muslim refugees,same sex marriage,carbon tax...PASS.

Nice theory, Monk, just not backed up by those nasty little things called 'facts'. The last year of Howard there was less than a hundred asylum seekers arriving by boat. After a peak of over 20,000 under Gillard the number is again back under a hundred. The peak of @1400 kids in detention under Gillard is again back under a hundred. Vote Labor if you want boats, drownings and full detention centres. If you don't want kids in detention, don't vote ALP, eh Virginia?

I get called, regularly. They initially asked for "somebody under 35" so I lied .........  ;D Now I am on their List.  ;D  I am the one that gives the Liberals the extra 1% ... don't muck about being truthful when they ask your age ........
