Yes - I just wanted to know a simple answer to my question -

why are there 2 political animal sites?

They have the same name & the same tiger on the front page
yet one site has ozpolitic in front of the name for the link.

deleting of any kind should be BANNED...

to alter/change anything other than your own work should be a banning offence...

its disrespectful and rude..and unethical...and I can think of only one person that does it..

we all know if this persons posts/threads were changed or disappeared by anyone there would be hell to pay..

lets all live by the same rules...

and that goes for the mods of all persuasions.

what if you havent got a spouse....my cats sleep through my conversation...and its far too hot here you only go out if you cant avoid it...its ok though strangely enough I didnt miss it all that much...I like watching the tennis...and reading my book..... the ironing could have done with a look at ....

Yes, although I think aussie bought his site from someone. I have never been there. You will have to ask him. He has given links to his own site as a potential life raft but deleted others so I would be very wary of free speech and unbiased moderation there :)

I was hoping that people would log on to one of them
when Ozpolitic was down but hardly any did.

Ozpolitic could get closed down at any time by the Govt.
It could get hacked by ISIS or some Mussie group.

We need an alternative site in case that happens.

They say "If you build it they will come". Perhaps choose a hospitable spot and use it periodically instead of just when this place is down. That way more people will become aware of it in the meantime.

It was made specifically as a life raft and never advertised so it is very quiet. I always look in there when both ozpol sites go down.

My pages are taking forever to load here right now and it is getting extremely frustrating. I wouldn't be surprised if we had another crash.

Time for some tv instead.

Contrary to what you and your ego think, aussie, I neither know nor care how you acquired your forum. I read VERY little of what you type.

You deleted all offers of a life raft in Relationships (other than yours and monk's) which shows unbridled bias.

The question was posed re potential life rafts and I gave an option. That's all. No coaxing and absolutely no urging. There is absolutely no need for you to make, yet another, issue about it and there is also no reason why your option should be the only one available.

The point is....because of that very 'umbrella' (as you cutely put it) it is highly likely that if OzPol goes down....that site will too, as it hangs off the same server under that 'umbrella.' You know as well as I do ~ that site was down for exactly the same time OzPol was down.

Reality.....SN. A life raft is pretty useless if it goes down with the ship.

1) When this site is Down, it is Down, so there is nothing happening!
2) Even when it is up & running, as far as I am aware, there isn't any tracking kept on how often any member or members, log on or try to log on!

Not quite true, Red. You could in fact access the Oz pol home page I did it many times. It was only the forum page that was down. I don't know why that is. I also don't know if FD knows that, maybe he will now.

Thanks to the revolting experience of chronic morning sickness throughout all my 3 pregnancies....I just cannot eat breakfast anymore.

I know that having breakfast is important. Keeping it down is my issue.
