A few days ago I sent Perceptions Now a couple of polite and to the point PMs about the abusive signatures used by two members here. I told him they are inappropriate and action needed to be taken. I also mentioned that if action was not taken I would have no choice but to update my own signature in response to the abusive ones that mention my name specifically but would be willing to  "change my signature accordingly sir."  He brushed me off both times.

Now I see a threatening PM from Perceptions Now in my inbox. And when I try to send another polite response I found he has blocked any further PMs from me.

Am I missing something? The very action PU requests/demands is the very action I asked he take but got the brush off when I did.

I have changed my signature accordingly. But. Jovial Monk and Phemanderac have not changed theirs. According to the PM is received from Perceptions Now both of these members are now up to be banned. PU?

I too have complied. I expect equal treatment will result in the others needing to change theirs.

The PM was sent today so they will probably have till tomorrow aussie time to comply.

I have asked how a mod here has the right to enforce me to remove a reference to site owned by the same owner of this forum when said owner has NEVER once questioned me about it. How weird.  At least twice, and ages ago, I send a PM to FD/GMods complaining about references to another place in the signatures of people here.  It was/is a clear Rule Breach.  As is self evident, nothing was done, and yet suddenly PN sees a light.

Further, how can he (PN) do his job as a GMod if he has blocked Members from sending a PM to him.  The Rules encourage Members to contact any GMod via PM and specifically, a GMod who has issued a ban/suspension.  If PN issues a ban, and the Member wants that explained (as per the Rules) the relevant GMod is rendering the Rule useless and effectively is denying the Member a right granted under the Rules, by blocking PMs.

That needs to be addressed.

The GMod either does his job or they ought resign and give way to someone willing to do it correctly, and in accordance with the Rules.

I would suggest on complaints or requests for information (obviously relating solely to yourself) that you message multiple Global Moderators.
That way ensuring it will be seen if you have the issue you mention below.

Banning posters for using naughty words is stupid and childish. But banning posters for using sox particularly to navigate bans is a totally different issue. Only people with low self esteem and a lack of courage and argument resort to using sox.

I have never seen FD enforce the swear rule here in the nine years I've been here. It is only a recent thing since some new mod jock has hit town trying to make a name for himself with some petty enforcement of a rule never enforced for the first six years I posted here. ::)
This forum worked much better when it was modded by the likes of Mozzak and Muso, as the participation rate of posters will prove given it has died in the proverbial since these draconian rules have been enforced. That is FDs problem, he obviously doesn't need the revenue anymore by letting this practice continue. Andrei is a realist in the same vein as Muso and Moz, unfortunately he is alone in that position.

Lady Ignora was a shared account at PA a long, long time ago and I too shared it. Aussie knows this. I have no knowledge of this account here at Ozpol however and can think of only one person who it might belong to.

Usually their personality or writing style gives them away - but the moderators would know by the IP address I assume, although most of them would use proxies which were once banned from here.

It wasn't long ago that Aussie told me that I was hopeless at picking socks and had never picked up on any of his over the years. I assume he uses them regularly for all sorts of reasons.

While Aussie is claiming he created that account due to " issues logging on with the Aussie account" those issues were last year, doesn't everyone remember? John smith had problems at the same time.
Look at the screen shot, the Aussie2 account was created in 2013. As Lisa says it was not created as aussie2 initially but changed to that name, why did Aussie create a nick with a totally different name if he's intention was not to deceive?  and why was it logged on last weekend?

I was online when Aussie was banned and his multi nic Vasco Pyjama logged in next.

I watched as he then changed its stage name to Aussie2.

I even went online and exposed him for all this.

I was there.....watching it all unfold.

While Aussie is claiming he created that account due to " issues logging on with the Aussie account" those issues were last year, doesn't everyone remember? John smith had problems at the same time. Look at the screen shot, the Aussie2 account was created in 2013. As Lisa says it was not created as aussie2 initially but changed to that name, why did Aussie create a nick with a totally different name if he's intention was not to deceive?  And why was it logged on last weekend? I was online when Aussie was banned and his multi nic Vasco Pyjama logged in next. I watched as he then changed its stage name to Aussie2. I even went online and exposed him for all this. I was there.....watching it all unfold. Forgot to mention he created a "Mr Aussie" nick the same day he was banned.

And despite Aussie's latest lie, the Phil E Buster, then Vasco Pyjama then Aussie2 nicks were created well before the date he was banned.

And what's even more pathetic, Aussie used these pre prepared nicks in topics to chat to....to give the APPEARANCE that they were different entities.... when all along, he was chatting to himself!

I was online when all this happened and I challenged and exposed Aussie for being such a manipulative liar!

I'm sure Perceptions can handle a few digs. They weren't that bad. I have no problem with him - in fact I initially recommended him to FD as a Global Mod. I wouldn't blame the mods for blocking some of the members though. They must get fed up with the avalanche of petty complaints.

I rarely, if ever, comment about PA or aussie and never post in Relationships.  It's not an 'us' vs 'them' thing and some PA members have probably been here longer than you.

Some people have far too much time on their hands.  Swearing at another poster, or calling them an (expletive) is clearly unacceptable, but being human, different mods tend to apply slightly different standards based on what they deem to be   unacceptable. Everybody has a slightly different tolerance and  apply judgement in a slightly different way. What I don't see (and it's a healthy sign) is any mod undermining another mod. They tend to back up each other (publicly), regardless of whether they have a slightly different individual interpretation. That is how it should be. We don't need bickering busybodies interfering and trying to cause conflict between mods, and from what I have seen, the mods here have a lot of solidarity between them.

Be thankful for that at least. 

They don't get paid, so chill out and give them some encouragement. If there are revenues involved in a site such as this, I'd be totally astonished. My experience (with a busier site) was that you'd be lucky to get enough to buy a coffee from monthly advertising revenues.

As for getting fed up with the avalanche of petty complaints?
I spent over 40 years in the financial sector, with the last 20 years or so in management.
Anyway, I learned a few things along the way -
1) To get my own take on issues & not rely exclusively on what I was told. And that was why I concluded in late 2006, that the GFC was coming, even though most "paid exspurts" came to another conclusion, as is now happening again.
2) Once I came to my own conclusions, I would then pursue those conclusions, whether others liked it or not, unless things changed and it became apparent I was wrong.
And, there were & probably will be again, things that I get wrong, But "honestly", if I'm wrong, I will generally "own up", whereas others may do everything But.
And then there are Politicians, who just see "Porkies" as part of their job description and the same goes for those would be "aspiring Politicians"!

BO is right Cods - quite a few of the PA members were members here long before they joined PA and years before the Yahoos arrived. From what I've seen - they post in a variety of threads here. I had dealings with you when I started posting here.  Apparently 'someone' wanted me banned because they thought I was someone else.  They were wrong, of course, but I found you to be fair and reasonable in our communications about the matter.   I think most of the GMods here are the same.  Human and all slightly different but also supportive of each other and that is all that we can expect to maintain any semblance of stability here.

I think Perceptions et al has a very good grasp on who is who and what is going on here and please don't let anyone stop you in your squealing dobbing childish pursuit of tugging on mummy's skirt and pointing fingers at pp you hate and then getting poor over worked Mods involved in your pathetic game-  to then ban someone because you dobbed and wouldnt shut up about it, it is worse than pre school stuff and going along with it is rewarding dobbers like you- time to graduate skippy.
