Teen charged with attempted rape after eight girls and young women allegedly sexually assaulted while swimming in Surfers Paradise
Lifeguards detained the man, understood to be a Pakistani national, and contacted police after three separate groups of friends raised the alarm on the beach at around 12:30pm yesterday.

Among the eight victims was a group of five 15-year-old girls and three more women aged between 17 and 24, all of whom were swimming between the flags when they were allegedly attacked.



Detective Inspector Greg Aubort said the man told police he had inadvertently come into contact with the women in strong waves, despite the surf being recorded as only two to three feet. 

The claim was contradicted by the alleged victims and police said their initial investigations suggested the alleged assaults were intentional.

“Initially there’s been some attempted explanations as to being involved in rough surf and flailing about trying to grab people to protect himself,” Detective Inspector Aubort told reporters today.

“The reality is we have individual reports very firm in saying these were deliberate acts.”
January 13, 2016: An 18-year-old man has been charged with attempted rape following alleged assaults at Surfers Paradise.

He described the alleged attacks as “absolutely brazen” and praised lifeguards for their assistance.

“It’s a terrible act to attempt to commit, particularly when you look at the ages of these ladies,” he said.

The alleged attacker was holidaying in Surfers Paradise from his home in Geelong, Victoria, and was alone when he was arrested.

He was charged with two counts of attempted rape, seven counts of sexual assault and four counts of common assault.

He was today refused bail.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnesses or been the victim of similar attacks to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

The alleged offender is described as having dark brown, curly hair and olive skin.

The dirty cretin thought he's molest them underwater and blame the waves. Typical Muslim attitude to women. A hope he's deported after he does his time.

I personally would expect that this person is charged and jailed till appearance in Court,  then, being found Guilty,  punished to the fullest extent of the Law. !!


Bail is not reasonable, given the gravity of the charges AND the likelihood that this wee creep will bolt for safety.
His passport should be confiscated and he should be held in remand until court time can be found to allocate to him.
In the meantime, he should remain in jail, as a threat to our society.  >:( >:( >:(

he would come out reformed and the herd could get back to a healthy herd dynamic

Read what?  There has been not one link put up in this Thread which sets out the particulars of the alleged offences, or for that matter to support what is set out in the OP.  That is why I am asking for some facts.

He was on a crowded public beach, swimming between the flags under the watchful eyes of the lifeguards, parents and boyfriends of the girls. Do youn have learning difficulties? You have been told a number of times now that the charges are "attempted rape" not rape? I ask again, what information are you in posesssion of that tells you that these offences did not occur? are you claiming the police deliberately fabricated these charges? 11 young women know. Do you think it's a conspiracy against him by unrelated women? It could be but what are the chances? I gave my opinion that the charges of rape will be dropped. The other charges will remain. If Ian wants facts he'll have to wait for the court case to finish. Don't ask me to explain the perps reason, I have no idea why he did or didn't do anything. I do however have some idea on what a few hundred fathers boyfriends and other observers might do to someone in their vicinity if the claims were true. I just don't find it credible that he 'attempted to rape' two girls on one of the countries most popular beaches with thousands of bystanders and no one intervened.

I'm not sure why everyone finds it so improbable that a girl or girls that he grabbed would claim he tried to stick his finger in, even if he didn't? It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest. Did it really happen, I don't know. Then again, neither does anyone else. 

Don't tell them that though, they'll just claim you support rapists  :D :D :D

What do you want Aussie? Why did he come into contact with so many women, indecently allegedly, and no males while being buffeted by the surf? Why did he not cry for help if he was in trouble? I never denied he was touching up females. I'm pretty sure he's guilty of that just based on the number of complaints made against him and his pathetic excuses.  Its the charges of attempted rape that I question.
