Seems he's forgotten the intelligence work started well before he became president

It doesn't matter which President is in power, the State of the Union speech is always an obligation carrying very little substance.

Thank god he's getting near the end of his time.
And didn't he, as an outgoing President in an election year, overturn convention by using the speech partially to attack a candidate from the opposition? I don't think that's on.

However, I will say I have admiration for all the Presidents, and especially Obama as a black, as well as high profile candidates, for having the guts to run & serve. They know they could be the target of some crazy with a gun. And I don't think the secret service can guarantee to protect them.
Bobby Kennedy was shot at close range, as was Reagan, and the secret service couldn't protect them.
