Hmmm, 2015 was supposed to be Labor's "Year of Ideas". Where were they? You didn't come up with a single one, Bull Shitten! No wonder you're about to embark on a scare campaign - you've got no clue and no ideas! ;D ;D ;D

Why make new ideas when libs busy trashing good ones? It's already taking all the effort to preserve the good ones. Like penalty rates.

You are just trolling AP so shall not waste my time answering same except to say labor has come up with plenty of policy but you are so badly blinkered by your smellograph master you cannot see or hear any of it. Why are you not asking why Turdbull isn't standing up to the RWNJ's in his party and getting rid of the ridiculous policies inherited from the supreme idiot Abbott? |

Yeah? Bring back the carbon tax. That's a winner right there, lol. Will he also bring back the boat people and deaths? What else? You said Labor has come up with "plenty" of policies, so it shouldn't be hard for you to list them then. |

LOL. Another thread that firstly, shows the absolute obsession from our righty friends with Bill Shorten - it is almost like prepubescent young girls at a Sherbert Concert! Secondly, it shows the lack of well, just about anything from the Coalition camp. Has any of the Coalition Front bench visited WA lately to see if federal resources can be activated to assist? Guess not, otherwise we would hear about it rather than another Shorten thread.

Gawd, you're slow. Yes they do!!!! I'm saying that that policy is a sure loser for votes. It's one of the reasons why Labor was so comprehensively thrashed in 2013. |

no, the labor party has no plans to bring back a carbon tax .... you jumping up and down crying they do isn't going to change that. The policy they are taking to the next elections is to bring in an ETS. And they were thrashed because of their own infighting. Maybe if you stop reading the smellegraph, you'd accidentally learn something every now and then. |

Ideas should be left to the private sector.
Apple, microsoft, samsung, virgin, ....these are your "ideas" people. Politicians , unfortunately , are egotistical chodes , who live in a dumbed down reality. They might be up to tackling the odd level crossing but thats about the extent of it. Even stoneage man learnt to control "fire" We witness "fire " in western australia and the politicians need 3 enquiries and a host of ministerial briefings before they can even come to grips with something so basic as "you need to use some water on it" Please, leave the ideas to the people who at least have some idea about how things work here on planet earth |

Why not, it generates some revenue and encourages investment in renewable energy when its undeniable that the mining boom is well and truly dead buried and cremated, not to mention its less of a financial burden on the consumer than a rise in the GST. |

And I compare this to 1000's of poor people who went for further training and ended up with debts which they will never be able to pay back, while the private education sector rolls over in taxpayer cash. A few deaths (which is employer fault really) to lib feb funded rort which actually will affect more people in longer term (for the ones alive anyway). |

if they pay more tax then they have to , it will go to the government and be wasted. by paying less tax, they can invest in R and D, new technology, new products . They can, in fact, be 'productive' i would consider companies have a moral imperative to pay as little tax as possible and to keep the money in the private sector where it can benefit us all |

fairly true. whether labor or liberal, governments dont really have any "good ideas". why would they. they are merely the umpires who set the rules for the private sector where the real creativity and new ideas come from. what startling new ideas have come from government. if we gave the federal budget to Mark Zuckerburg, Steven Jobs and Bill Gates, we would have cured cancer, gone to mars, fixed global warming, and we'd all be sitting on the beach with pina coladas instead of working 50 hour weeks and seeing 1/2 our wage go in tax. |

Uhh what, the Government has always laid the groundwork for innovation, all expensive R&D is usually done (or paid for) by the Government, the Government also says the infrastructure as well, for example, it was the Government that laid the groundwork for the internet and a intergovernmental organization CERN that created the Internet we know today. If we relied entirely on the private sector, we would still be living in the feudal era. Also Governments give billions of dollars to the private sector every year, Tesla motors was funded through a Government program for example, Social Networking, Google etc had heaps of funding (sadly) from the NSA/CIA. |

more communist claptrap. TESLA is a private company that got govt funding. the private sector did all the work and took all the risks. the money govt gives to the private sector generates far more employment and wealth than a govt operation ever could. what a private company could do with $5M and 10 employees, a govt group couldnt match with $50M and 1000 employees. I should know. My company competes with a govt group given $30M in funding and 30 employees. my company has TWICE the market share they do and entirely done thru private funding and personal effort. |

The best idea Labor came up with was dumping Abbott, but the Libs stole it from them. :P The Libs are not even smart enough to think that one up themselves. :D I hope they don't pay you too much money for your cash for comments armchair, because you do a pretty poor job. |
