Saudis factoring in a decline of oil revenue !! Adoption of Electric car technology in some countries. Setting fire to coal being displaced by renewables !!

We have a bright future to look forward to as this filth is being left in the ground where it belongs and only used when absolutely necessary ;)

Even if oil is replaced by clean energy for transport we will always need it.

Take away everything in your home that is made from oil and what are you left with....???

Chocolate rappers, condoms, computer hardware & software, vinyl, CD's, lighters any plastic etc etc all made from oil.

come back to me when you can find a non-oil driven plane, freight train, ship or the vast majority of road transport. When you can fnd a substitute for plastic and most synthetic materials (all made from oil) then tell us again what will happen.

Countries that get the bulk of their revenue from oil will be hit hard. What will they do when they can't meet expenses? Go to war?

So when it's all used up and dumped into the oceans as landfill what will replace it then ? Care to enlighten us ?

Ocean litter = Off shore wind industrialisation. Oh and that deadbeat solar glider when it finally falls out of the sky.

The first firearms were no match for a half decent archer.
Yet once technology was applied (mainly through conflict) firearms left arrows behind.

I suspect the same will apply to our energy industries.

It needs the price of oil and coal to go much higher that's why they are so cheap at the moment.
