A MOTHER has been left devastated and a nation in shock after a father drove himself and their two young children to their deaths in the depths of Boston Bay at Port Lincoln, South Australia.

Damien Little, aged in his 30s, drove his white Ford station wagon with his children Hunter and Koda, aged about one and four years respectively, from Brennan’s Wharf into 30m of water about 6am on Monday.

Little’s station wagon was travelling at up to 80km/h when it plunged into the sea in the tragic murder-suicide.

A distraught relative said the family was “in shock” after the incident. She declined to comment further.

Police divers — flown from Adelaide — emerged from the water at 12.30pm with three body bags and a rifle with a telescopic sight.

Friends said Little posted a lengthy suicide note on social media at 5.45am on Monday.

I think resilience training is the answer Cods.
This guy , obviously entered a very dark place, was undoubtedly very sad about a marriage failure one would think and couldnt cope with that personal trauma.

But you need to constantly be coping with trauma, welcoming trauma, welcoming obstacles, welcoming challenges...thus you develop resilience.

I'll tell you a true story.

A 78 yo who lives near me.

as an 11 yo he was sent to a station to do mustering and fencing.
he used to fence in 40 degree heat and the station owner used to give him 2 litres of water a day.
he has had an increbibly tough life.
spastic child he looked after ,
wife left him
lived alone.
now he has prostate cancer and its in his bones.

and you know what, every day, he saddles up his horse and goes for a trail ride and sometimes drops in for a chat.

78 yo with a really hard life and now going to die.(alone)
ive never heard the bloke complain.
actually he doesnt speak much.

16 yo kids want to top themselves when someone says something mean on facebook.
blokes who go thru a relationship breakdown who go into cry baby mode and then completely lose the plot

they want to come spend the school holidays with this bloke and get a bit of perspective

How gutless of him to take out his own kids. If he wanted to finish his own life that's his decision. But his children have a right to a life of their own. I know he was mentally disturbed but I feel so much for those little kids.

I don't know Cods....I just don't know.

Unlike most other cases I know of, he took his own life as well as that of his children........and there appears (at least from neighbours' comments)not to be any indicators that all was not well within the family.

My suburb has internet connection problems and I can't access most sites....is there any info out there that sheds light on the suicide note?????

I used to say all the drug problems we had were a communist plot to disable our young people..

but there isnt any communist plot anymore...

we are killing ourselves....we dont need any help...we have HUGE MENTAL ISSUES IN THIS COUNTRY.

why.. we live in one of the most healthy regions in the world/.

we have a great health system.. education system...

stuff we dont see in 3rd world countries....we dont have children living in garbage dumps...yet barely a week  go es by where we dont read of some tragedy or other...that involves children....

they removed the suicide note early.....not many people I guess would have read it...

unless he said what he was going to do... what could you do to prevent it.?...

The mental health of the community requires that beta males have some direction in life.

The response of the left to any sort of mental health problem is always more softly softly stuff and trying to create this sort of effeminate end game.

counselling, hand wringing, diagnosing anyone who doesnt relish adversity as suffering PTSD (rewarding a weak mind).

Until men in particular are expected to act like men, you can expect a lot more of this "schizo ' type behaviour.

Men settle down and find comfort when they have a superior man, a calm man, an alpha man to provide leadership.

And these types of leaders are under attack in the west as beta males are promoted by society.
