I just wish to say.. its sad when threads get posted there as there is a control person who insists on being... in control...of every thread. so unless you post what he approves of you are either banished or the thread is locked... would it be possible to move the unstable 'deckchairs' to a safer place in future where neither the poster nor the posts are harassed into submission... |

Indeed. I might as well use this opportunity to pass on some useful information the general Membership will not be aware of ...... and as a result, they will make posts based on complete ignorance, and in some cases, an anxiety to have a go at someone doing a job.
Every Member Run Board Moderator (as well as the GMods) has a facility which allows them to see who is reading a Thread, and also, that same facility tells us who is preparing a reply to post. After I had asked Karnel not to post ~ using that facility ~ I saw s/he was preparing a reply. So, to save them from themself, I locked the Thread, thus preventing them from becomming vulnerable to further adverse action. When I returned to the Forum this morning, I unlocked the Thread.....as Karnel by then had been given plenty of time to avoid acting foolishly and in the heat of the moment. |

It is exactly the same thing you see on the main page when you log in, cods. Down the bottom, you will see a list of who is on line/logged in. This feature does the same. It tells 'us' who is 'logged in' to the Thread, and which of them is preparing a response. Nothing more. |

Cods is correct the thread was locked last night, I was flabbergasted a mod would ban a poster for not disclosing if he had a sock but then I realised the mod was he who will not be mentioned and sighed in disbelief he is still allowed to control even a miniscule corner of this forum.

No, all she has is her knockers in a twist. I had unlocked the Thread prior to making that post....so what I said was 100% correct. The Thread was then not locked. I could hardly deny what is true.....I had locked it the prior night for the reason given, and when I returned to OzPol next morning I unlocked it....again....for the reason given.

I made that post (according to my Forum clock) on the 8th November at 8.40 am. Although cods and I had made many posts prior, it was not until 4.17pm on that same day that cods (see post # 17) even hinted at some edit..... "I know I had read that word....and you fixed it didnt you.." By then, I had used the word 'ignorant' (it is still there for all to see) but it was never in my first post. (Not that it would matter if it was.) Those are the facts. You lot from PA can carry on as much as you like....nothing will change those facts, and it certainly will have exactly zero impact on me. |

He said something like "The thread isn't locked. Go and look". Implying that what you said was a lie. Then carried on with an 11 page drama calling you ignorant etc. He should have said "The thread isn't locked anymore. I unlocked it 60 seconds ago when I saw this thread". That would have been the honest thing to say but that is not how he works and that is why it is best not to take the bait. |
