NYT: Representative Jim Jordan, Republican of Ohio, pressed Hillary Rodham Clinton on early suggestions that protests against an inflammatory anti-Islam video had played a role in the attack in Benghazi. “Where did the false narrative start?” Mr. Jordan said. “It started with you, Madame Secretary.”

Mrs. Clinton said that she had mentioned the video as a warning to the region, and that she had not been saying it set off the attack. Mr. Jordan then displayed email exchanges that showed Mrs. Clinton calling the incident a “planned attack — not a protest.”

The topic of whether the video led to the attack caused Mrs. Clinton to become flustered in her 2013 testimony about Benghazi, when she responded, “Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night and decided they’d go kill some Americans,” Clinton said then, waving her arms. “What difference–at this point, what difference does it make?”

This time Mrs. Clinton kept her calm as Mr. Jordan pressed her, highlighting emails that he said proved the State Department had intentionally misled the public about whether protests related to the video had led to the attack. Mrs. Clinton said that had not been the case and that it was a fast-moving period with a lot of fluid information. “We were in a position of trying to make sense of a lot of incoming information,” she said.

Mr. Jordan said that a terrorist attack would have hurt the Obama administration in a re-election year and suggested that Mrs. Clinton therefore characterized the Benghazi attack as growing out of spontaneous protests against the video. “You did it because Libya,” Mr. Jordan said, “was supposed to be this great success story.”

From a cable news and Twitter perspective, the Benghazi hearing today was custom-made for polarized audiences far and wide: 97 percent who watched or listened or followed their Twitter feed had their minds made up on guilt or innocence well before the first question was asked. You either strongly believe Hillary Clinton is lying or you think this is all a witch hunt to injure her presidential hopes. And no matter how things ended today — no matter what you heard — you believed what you wanted to believe.

Actually, check that: Probably a solid majority believed both: Hillary is lying and it’s a partisan witch hunt on the part of the GOP to damage the likely Democratic nominee. But credibility and honestly are two things for those who plan to vote for Mrs. Clinton that is superseded ten-times over by hatred of the Republican party. Does HRC17 tell invalid truths so often and is so bent on becoming the second-most powerful person in the world (behind Vladimir) that she doesn’t even know the difference between fact and fiction anymore? Yes. Do her supporters really care about integrity to the point they’ll vote for whomever the GOP nominee is instead? Of course not. That’s just the world we live in now, and it’s sad.

So we hear the analysis from the professional political chattering class across the spectrum and the basic gist is mostly this: Because Trey Gowdy and Company couldn’t get the former Secretary of State to admit she ordered what is the non-fictional version of the Code Red (or in this case, a stand-down order that allowed four Americans — including an Ambassador — to be slaughtered at the hands of terrorists), the committee failed. We’ll rightly also be told that today’s event won’t have any effect on the Clinton machine bulldozing the disturbingly weak bench that is the rest of her “competition” on her way to the nomination. Hillary didn’t break like Colonel Jessup = Victory.

If you’re a producer back in the newsroom looking to condense almost seven hours of testimony into a nice, neat package, you’re trained to look for the “best” SOTs (sound on tape). Not necessarily anything based in substance, of course, but where the fireworks occurred. That’s why you’ll see Elijah Cummings featured prominently tonight and through the weekend. Not for any substantial reason, of course, but because he raised his voice, even raised a finger… well, that’s huuuuuge. Just as it was in the first GOP debate, which basically had on a loop the following day a rather inconsequential (but loud and contentious) exchange between afterthoughts Rand Paul and Chris Christie. You yell, you act pissed, you will get airtime in any cable news coverage afterward… actual content of what’s being voiced be damned.

Hillary Clinton testified again on Benghazi today, sometimes things got awkward, heated. The takeaway in our polarized media will either declare the proceeding was either damaging-but-not-devastating-for her or a non-event, perhaps even a net-plus.

And unless there’s a blue dress and DNA involved, any Clinton will deny and deflect until the public becomes damn tired of hearing about it. It’s a strategy that’s worked before and may work again. Drip. Drip. Drip until the handful of independent voters still left doze off.

Many watched today, many will catch up after getting home from work. It continues now into this Thursday evening. Not one mind will be changed as a result come 382 days from now on Election Day.

But we all tune in for the theatre anyway… with some hoping someone can’t handle the truth… or admits to ordering the Code Red.

And the fact that Chris Stevens requested additional security, but didn't get it. That puts the blame directly on the teabagging imbeciles in Congress themselves, as they would be the ones who refused to fund such a request. So far, there's been seven investigations (all at American taxpayer expense) and that have all come to the same conclusion that mistakes were made but you can't protect everyone. Four guys died? As the nation’s chief diplomat, Hillary Clinton was responsible for ascertaining whether information in her possession was classified and acknowledged that “negligent handling” of that information could jeopardize national security, according to a copy of an agreement she signed upon taking the job.

A day after assuming office as secretary of state, Clinton signed a Sensitive Compartmented Information Nondisclosure Agreement that laid out criminal penalties for “any unauthorized disclosure” of classified information.

Experts have guessed that Clinton signed such an agreement, but a copy of her specific contract, obtained by the Competitive Enterprise Institute through an open records request and shared with the Washington Free Beacon, reveals for the first time the exact language of the NDA.

“I have been advised that the unauthorized disclosure, unauthorized retention, or negligent handling of SCI by me could cause irreparable injury to the United States or be used to advantage by a foreign nation,” the agreement states.

Clinton received at least two emails while secretary of state on her personal email server since marked “TS/SCI”—top secret/sensitive compartmented information—according to the U.S. intelligence community’s inspector general.

The State Department said in September that Clinton’s private email system, set up at her Chappaqua, N.Y., home, was not authorized to handle SCI.

The Democratic presidential frontrunner defended her unauthorized possession of SCI and her sending of emails containing classified information by claiming that the information was not marked as classified when it was sent or received.

The language of her NDA suggests it was Clinton’s responsibility to ascertain whether information shared through her private email server was, in fact, classified.

“I understand that it is my responsibility to consult with appropriate management authorities in the Department … in order to ensure that I know whether information or material within my knowledge or control that I have reason to believe might be SCI,” the agreement says.

The Clinton campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the NDA.

According to government security experts, the type of information that receives a TS/SCI designation is sensitive enough that most senior government officials would immediately recognize it as such.

“TS/SCI is very serious and specific information that jumps out at you and screams ‘classified,’” Larry Mrozinski, a former U.S. counterterrorism official, told the New York Post in August. “It’s hard to imagine that in her position she would fail to recognize the obvious.”

Additional emails on Clinton’s server contained information that was “born classified,” according to J. William Leonard, who directed the U.S. Information Security Oversight Office from 2002 to 2008.

“If a foreign minister just told the secretary of state something in confidence, by U.S. rules that is classified at the moment it’s in U.S. channels and U.S. possession,” Leonard told Reuters in August.

Clinton’s NDA spells out stiff criminal penalties for “any unauthorized disclosure of SCI.” The FBI is currently investigating whether Clinton’s private email server violated any federal laws.

In addition to her SCI agreement, Clinton signed a separate NDA for all other classified information. It contains similar language, including prohibiting “negligent handling of classified information,” requiring her to ascertain whether information is classified and laying out criminal penalties.

It adds, “I will never divulge classified information to anyone unless: (a) I have officially verified that the recipient has been properly authorized to receive it; or (b) I have been given prior written notice of authorization” from the proper authorizes.

Cheryl Mills and Huma Abedin, Clinton’s two top aides, also signed copies of the classified information NDA.

Mills sent classified information to officials at the Bill, Hillary, and Chelsea Clinton Foundation in 2012, an email released by the State Department in September shows.

Mills’ NDA required her to inquire about the classification of information in her possession if she was unsure about its status. However, her attorney said that she “presumed” that the information she sent to the foundation was unclassified because it had been sent to her at her unclassified State Department email address.

The Republican National Committee asked the IRS to audit the finances of another one of the Clinton family’s charities—and that’s not the news Hillary Clinton wants to hear.

The Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) has long been under fire in the media for shaky accounting. Earlier this year, they refused to re-file their IRS 990 tax forms, to clarify incorrect accounting.

RNC Chairman Reince Priebus, in his letter to the IRS, wrote:

“Given CHAI’s history of repeatedly failing to accurately report the amount of money it received from foreign governments … there is no way to tell whether there exists other undisclosed foreign government grants without the IRS conducting a full audit of CHAI’s financial records… The American people deserve to know whether the largest philanthropic arm of the Clinton Foundation continues to misreport the funds it receives from foreign governments, and whether this might lead to the potential for further conflicts of interest.”

Hillary Clinton’s scandals seem to be growing by the day. What was, initially, an investigation into her conduct during the Benghazi killings in 2012, quickly snowballed into a Nixonian web of wrongdoing.

First, the revelation that she kept confidential public records on an unsecured, private email server—and now, clear conflicts of interest between the State Department, companies with ties to the Clintons, and the Clinton family’s various charities.

The scandal is also threatening to consume more than just Hillary Clinton and her campaign.

Huma Abedin, Hillary’s longtime aide and confidant, is also under investigation. Abedin drew a salary both from the State Department where she worked under Hillary, and from Teneo, a company with ties to the Clinton Foundation and asked for key political favors during Hillary’s tenure as Secretary of State.

Reports of deeper investigation by the Republicans into her recent scandals are not what Hillary Clinton wants to hear—and her poll numbers are continuing to tank. It could be only a matter of time before one of her scandals dashes her presidential hopes—for good.

Hillary Clinton could be prosecuted in federal court for failing to tell President Barack Obama about her private email server at the time she was running it, according to a veteran FBI agent.
Obama said flatly during a '60 Minutes' interview on Sunday that 'No,' he did not know Clinton sidestepped security protocols with her a home-brew email setup while she was his secretary of state.
The FBI agent who spoke with DailyMail.com has had a 20-year career in federal law enforcement and serves in a supervisory capacity in a domestic FBI field office.
He said on Friday that failing to put Obama in the loop could be enough to send her to prison for ten years.

'NO': Obama said flatly Sunday on '60 Minutes' that he wasn't aware Clinton was operating a home-brew email server while she was America's top diplomat

The federal Espionage Act includes a provision that criminalizes 'gross negligence' by officials charged with safeguarding national defense information.

ESPIONAGE ACT: THE LETTER OF THE LAW ... from 18 U.S. Code § 793 - Gathering, transmitting or losing defense information (f) Whoever, being entrusted with or having lawful possession or control of any document, writing, code book, signal book, sketch, photograph, photographic negative, blueprint, plan, map, model, instrument, appliance, note, or information, relating to the national defense, (1) through gross negligence permits the same to be removed from its proper place of custody or delivered to anyone in violation of his trust, or to be lost, stolen, abstracted, or destroyed, or (2) having knowledge that the same has been illegally removed from its proper place of custody or delivered to anyone in violation of its trust, or lost, or stolen, abstracted, or destroyed, and fails to make prompt report of such loss, theft, abstraction, or destruction to his superior officer — Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both.

Separately, the law's text makes a criminal of any security clearance holder who fails to notify his or her 'superior officer' when a breach of security occurs through such negligence.
'If investigators conclude that the former secretary [Clinton] was criminally careless in how she approached the security of the sensitive documents in her possession, then this part of the law could be used to prosecute her,' the agent said, on condition of anonymity.
'"Gross negligence" just means "serious carelessness",' he clarified.
His voice became more deliberate and quiet when DailyMail.com asked him to address the notification clause in what is technically known as '18 USC 793.'
'The secretary's superior is the President of the United States,' the FBI agent noted.
'So unless he were aware of what she was doing when she was doing it, it seems there could be a legal problem [for her].'
The FBI's investigation of Hillary Clinton's private email server is focusing on whether she violated the Espionage Act – especially the 'gross negligence' portions of the statute – according to a report Thursday from the Fox News Channel
The law applies to 'any document, writing, code book, signal book, sketch, photograph, photographic negative, blueprint, plan, map, model, instrument, appliance, note, or information, relating to the national defense' – even if it's not considered 'classified.'
It calls for a 10-year prison sentence for anyone convicted of 'gross negligence' that permits such information to be 'removed from its proper place.'

Wikileaks: Hillary Clinton Claims Saudi Arabia is the Largest Donor to “Sunni Terrorists” Worldwide

Wikileaks has struck again; this time, they have revealed a U.S.
government cable sent from the former Secretary of State, Hillary
Clinton, to the U.S. Treasury office that specifically alluded to the
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s substantial financial donations to
international terrorist groups fighting the U.S. Armed Forces.
According to an introductory cable that discussed Saudi Arabia’s background:


“Donors in Saudi Arabia constitute the most significant source of funding to Sunni terrorist groups worldwide.”


Secretary of State Clinton followed this statement up with the following:


“Continued senior level USG engagement is needed to
build-on initial efforts and encourage the Saudi government to take more
steps to stem the flow of funds from Saudi Arabia-backed sources to
terrorists and extremists worldwide.”

Saudi officials have constantly insisted that their intelligence
agencies are working rigorously to combat terrorism in the country and
around the world; however, the recent rise of the Islamic State of Iraq
and Al-Sham (ISIS) has led many to question where this terrorist group’s
funds are coming from and who is responsible.



Secretary of State Clinton illuminated the importance of Saudi
Arabia’s assistance to these terrorist groups, including their monetary
reliance on these financial donors:
“Saudi Arabia remains a critical financial support
base for Al-Qaeda, the Taliban, LeT, other terrorist groups, including
Hamas, which probably raise millions of dollars annually from Saudi
sources.”
Contradicting what the Saudi officials attest, Secretary of State
Clinton stated that the Saudi Government has taken only “limited action”
to combat terrorism abroad:
“Riyadh has taken only limited action to disrupt
fundraising for the UN 1267-listed Taliban and LeT groups that are also
aligned with Al-Qaeda and focused on undermining stability in
Afghanistan and Pakistan.”
Clinton affirms Saudi Arabia’s reluctance to combat terrorism outside
of their country and their deliberate intentions to undermine the U.S.’
attempts to stabilize Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Hillary Clinton has begun her campaign to win the presidential
candidate seat for the Democrats – she has not commented on these
cables.
