Title: Dumbarse Turnbull's Foreign Policy
Post by Greens_Win on Oct 1st, 2015 at 9:37am
So now we are part of bombing Syrian groups out to replace Assad ... under the pretence the coalition including Russia is bombing ISIS.

How dumb was it for Turnbull to trust Russia. How dumb was Turnbull not to see this coming.

I like to see Liberals leaders delving into foreign policy as we seen with Howard the more time he spent stuffing up in this area the less he stuffed up on Australian domestic policy.

Which enemy?

The Russians that shot down MH17 ... or the Syrian attempting to replace Assad that the Russians are now bombing ... or ISIS ???

Russia bombing Syrian Groups attempting to remove Assad, that are not connected with ISIS.

And Turnbull backs this.

Nothing to do with ISIS.

Russia bombs US-backed forces, leaves IS alone

The Kremlin and the US are at odds over accounts of who Russia bombed in its first Syrian air mission.

There are fears American-backed anti-IS forces have been hit by Russian aircrafts carrying out their first bombing missions in Syria.

Reports said at least one group, labelled as “Syrian opposition fighters”, who had been trained by the CIA, were hit in the attacks.

The New York Times reported a senior US official said at least one and maybe more opposition groups “secretly armed and trained by the CIA” were hit by Russia in the strikes.

Turnbull and his knuckle dragging mob supported Russian bombings !!!

It is a complex issue, but as best as I can understand it there are three waring mobs.  Assad's Government forces fighting Syrian Anti Government forces, and on top of that ISIS fighting whoever they are fighting.  Might even be some Kurds in there.

The Ruskies have been given the nod by the West (including Australia) to bomb in Syria in the expectation the Russians will target only ISIS.  However, the Russians have been a long term ally of Assad's Government, so today's speculation has been whether they are bombing ISIS or the Anti Assad Syrians.

Iraq was better off under Saddam and Syria is better off under Assad. Kabul should have been left to those who captured Kabul. They know how to deal with each other. Read the bottom line.

The bottom line mirrors my sentiment.  All you have to do is walk around the Canberra War Memorial and you will see the names of the same places coming up over and over.  Arabia is for Arabs ~ let them fight over it as they have been for centuries.  Sure, that means minorities will be persecuted.  They leave and seek asylum elsewhere.  The model of the West going in with guns to support a persecuted minority group does not work.

Here's a hint: the greens redundant rainbow feel good diplomacy doesn't work in this case. It really is either a madman who at least defends minorities vs madmen who don't discriminate against anyone when it comes to killing.

I think if anyone needs to educate themselves on the issues relating to the middle east it is the pretend left wing that you represent. It is because of people like you, constantly criticising and never offering an adequate solution, that groups such as ISIS are end up thriving.

You blundered in and have been off the mark on the issue.
You are in no position to question other's views when you have revealed you don't understand the situation.

Alternative to what?

Going in blindly without a plan, without an exit strategy and be drawn in further ... just to repeat it again and again and again.

Greens :
Step one ... have a debate in parliaments and let's hear what Turnbull's mob and the Labor mob's plans are. And when everyone can see both are suicide missions, then listen to the Greens plan.

Greens don’t have a plan.

There are Kurds fighting Assad and ISIS in Syria and fighting ISIS in Iraq. Doing a good job too, tho they lack heavy weapons.

So, if the Russkies didn’t bomb ISIS did they bomb the Kurds perhaps?

Apparently they bombed the Free Syrian Army, but who knows? That is most likely US propaganda. I saw John Kerrie squealing like a banshee on the news tonight.

I can see a US or one of their allies plane getting struck by a Russian missile soon.....then all hell will break loose. WWIII.

......where will the government put all the conscientious objectors when they call for compulsory service?
