Or is it a prohibited implement?

I am willing to swear I don't belong to IS.

So what do you recommend for slashing scrub & shrubs too small for a chainsaw.

Your local mosque should have a good range and some great deals.

I find my 18v Dewalt sabre saw is good for lopping branches up to say 1.5 inches use a fairly course blade

I also have a set of the ALDI loppers with the extendable handles, they have a levering arrangement (sort of gearing idea which reduces the pressure you have to apply)

I didn't get a machete yet. I've got loppers, chain saw, a couple of hedge trimmers but it's something to slash spindly, low-lying scrub I wanted.
I'll get round to it.
I've been having fun with my Aldi pressure cleaner in the meantime.

It seems that what you're really after here is pipe bombs...they can clear anything apparently.

Now that cane knife looks interesting. How thick is the blade?

Dunno, but it is an easy fit.  It would have to be.  It was what was used to cut sugar cane stalks day in day out week in week out by cane cutters before mechanical harvesting arrived on the sugar industry scene.
