You'd have to be a very brave man to go back to work after that experience.

Yeh, nasty.

My friend was taken in geographe bay a few years ago. Yeh, basically my dad gave me a hug that day!!

When you see the other aussies inability to speak in that interview I felt that... scary shite imagining THAT reality and I wasn't even in the water...

Did they confrim it was great whites btw?

The fins looked big but some people said bull sharks?

Also their was splash in the foreground of the footage: was it another shark/more sharks or just a wave infront?

Sharks: they bloody Noah everything

Similar thing happened to me, got knocked off me board by a shark, a giant white pointer it was, bigger than Jaws, I wrestled with it for a while and managed to break away, then the bloody thing chased me through the surf, then it chased me all the way up to the beach, then it chased me across the beach, up the stairs and into the carpark. 8-)

Top Tail fin shape i.e. the notch on the lower side is similar in Great Whites & bull sharks.

you know what I think bogy..

I dont this that shark was hungry Id say he had had his fill and was looking for some play,.. lets be honest here even the surfboard was unharmed....

was mick a lucky boy yes sireee.. but to call him a HERO is so over the top....the young man that went to his aid was the HERO I am sure he still doesnt know what he was going to do if he did get to him..but well done to him for going....
