Title: masterchef

I am going for Billy... she seems to be the one with the temperament..poor Jess seems to fall apart even though she looks a good cook

Yep Cods, Billie for me too.  I'd also be quite happy to see either of the guys win but don't really think that will happen.

I am going for Reynold.  If he bombs out then I will back Billie.

Gary, Matt and George all raved about the burnt butter cake in the dessert last night and I thought I might try it but it isn't on the website.  Grrrrr.

reynold can only make desserts though.. he does have some experience at that  as well...

but I dont like the way he sort of works fast when its for himself but in a group he seems to stand back.. it may be the editing but he doesnt seem a team player to me...

my money has been on Billie for a while...she is so cool...Georgia is good as well.. but also panics...all I know is I couldnt do it.. they would cart me off on a stretcher...lolol

I have only been really tuned in for the past few weeks but I would still like to see Reynold make it to the top.  He must be able to do more than desserts to have made it this far and his desserts are AMAZING.

I hope you enjoy it girls

However I regard watching these shows and Big Brother, ACA, 60Minutes etc as fantasy,

That is akin to reading the Daily Telegraph for serious political stories.

However enjoy if you like it.   :)

;D ;D ;D ;D

She is odd, weird and very annoying.  I feel like poking her in the eye with a skewer   :)

I don't watch most reality shows.  I don't watch ACA, 60 Minutes, the Survivor shows or the Great Race shows and I would not watch Big Brother if it was the only show on tv.

I like some of the cooking shows.  Mainly My Kitchen Rules and the second half of Masterchef when they are down to about the final 12.  If you are unlucky enough to have to cook every night you often become bogged down in the tedium of it all and fresh ideas are always welcome.  Matt made a very quick and simple sweet chilli chicken last night that I will try.    Quick and simple is always good.

I also like reno shows like My House Rules although I don't like some of the new design trends that are turning up everywhere lately like having a three quarter wall behind the bed which leads to the ensuite and wardrobe.  It just doesn't look right.  I used to watch The Block but black banned it when they brought back that dreadful Dee and her hubby Darren.  I haven't watched it since they were on the first time and probably will never watch it again.

Reynold has gone...and I thought George was going to cry....it was pretty obvious he wanted Reynold to win...

I would have stopped watching had he not gone last night...all the way through... if it wasnt made of chocolate Reynold struggled....had he not gone I would have said its definitely fixed....I am still fingers crossed for Billlie....but Jess could be a  surprise Georgia seems predictable to me...

Of the remaining two I would like to see Billie win tonight but Georgia seems to be popular with the judges and always seems to pull things together when she is under pressure so she will probably win.

The only cooking show that I have watched has been the Great British Cook off or whatever it is on Foxtel.

yeyyyyyyyyyyyy Billie won....and the favoritism shown by George to both Georgia and Reynold was pretty bad I thought... on ya Billie....well deserved....

I am glad that Billie one, too.  It was a very well deserved win.  She was cool, calm, collected and amazing and only 23 years old.  She did so well and definitely deserved the win.

I was also sick to death of Georgia's crying.

Yes - she was an exceptionally intelligent and hardworking young woman. It was well deserved. I agree with all the comments here, but every year it's the same. Regardless of who seems to be the judges' favourites - the best person always wins. They have to - otherwise the show would be boycotted.

The new show on 7 - Restaurant Revolution looks promising. These cooking competitions can be addictive.

hi mantra.. where you been???>.

I am watching the one on 9.. its a dead set rip off of MKR and the focus is on the contestants..more so I think than their cooking..I am not quite sure why I am watching it...I dont particularly like any of them....

the Rest Rev is all a bit confusing to me...and also a bit lobsided when some get heaps of money and others none..  I agree its good fun watching even more so when they brag and put others down.. then have their own massive fail..

Hi Cods. I was wondering the same thing about you as I haven't seen you posting for a couple of days. My computer has been playing up a bit and it's always a hassle getting my password working here when that happens.

I think Restaurant Rules will be the better show as the contestants are inexperienced and given money incentives to improve generally. The show must be costing a fortune to make.

Hotplate is OK, but all these people are already running average restaurants and only need a few tweaks to improve themselves.

You're not alone Cods. I watched the first two seasons of the Bachelor. Tim Robards was so good to look at, but the last one irritated me and the bloke this year doesn't look much better. I also hated seeing such desperate women. It's a real meat market.

we are on the same page there....the women are shockers this year..not one stunner amongst them..I feel for Sam to be honest....and the boring thought bubbles...always the same... "I think I am going home" "if I dont get a rose I will jump off a bridge".. omg.. I bet they are really thinking.. I hope she falls flat on her face...urghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I had to suffer 10 minutes of The Bachelor last night waiting for The Zoo to start.

Dreadful show.  The women are pathetic.  "Oh oh I want a red rose because I know I am intelligent and interesting and could SO fall in love with him".  What a crock.

As for him.  I know we are all attracted to different types and looks but he did absolutely nothing for me.

It would be difficult to find a man with national appeal. It's not dissimilar to our choice of politicians - they get worse each year.

when you think of all these gorgeous men and women still being single at what.. well into their 30s.. it does make you wonder what the hell is wrong with them...

::) ::)

well it does me anyway...its kind of cringe worthy when you think about it.. writing into a reality show to find some one to love when everything is phony...I mean all those dates????... like you do that in the real world.........

I imagine the ones who go on tv 'looking for love' are just hoping for the money and/or exposure and the hope they will be picked up for another tv show.

I loved Rob Palmer on Better Homes and Gardens but they booted him off the show, after many years, and installed Adam who was a contestant on My House Rules.  He got his foot in the door and got the exposure from MHR and is quite an affable personality but kicking Rob Palmer off the show to make room for Adam was a stupid decision IMO.

I rarely watch it now except for the Fast Ed segments which I can easily look up online later anyway, and usually do.

I didnt know Rob was booted.... I wondered where he was....thought he may have a gig on Dancing with the Stars,.. ::) ::).. I liked him too I like Adam always smiling.. but the segments dont really teach you anything its all to fast and looks too easy when we know its not... I prefer theDIY on the Living room.. at least you see what they are doing...

I wish I knew what they were doing to my Saturday nights.. all the channels are dreadful...the ABC which I normally watch all night Sat.. is now all repeats of repeats...I am sick of it. I dont want to watch football.or old movies meant for teenagers.

I liked Rob Palmer.  He was so enthusiastic, knowledgeable and vibrant.

Adam is a happy, smiling soul but he doesn't have what Rob has/had.  Bad decision by Channel 7.
