Nick Kyrgios is a petulant fouled mouthed disgrace and the only thing that went wrong was the Umpire's failure to disqualify Kyrgios from Wimbledon...Red Baron.

A report of the a..hole's behaviour follows:




Nick Kyrgios has insisted he will not drop his brash attitude after the volatile Australian's latest outburst during his Wimbledon first-round rout of Diego Schwartzman.

Kyrgios was back at Wimbledon 12 months after he stunned Rafael Nadal in a memorable fourth-round upset that made him the lowest-ranked player to beat a world number one at a major for 22 years.

On his return, Kyrgios, who eventually bowed out in the quarter-finals last year, crushed Schwartzman 6-0, 6-2, 7-6 (8-6) in just 85 minutes to set up a second-round meeting with another Argentine, Juan Monaco, after he beat Germany's Florian Mayer 6-1, 6-2, 6-4.

But Kyrgios' emphatic victory was marred by a heated discussion with umpire Mohamed Lahyani over a line call that Kyrgios felt came as he was hitting a deep ball, affecting his shot, but the umpire disagreed.

That prompted the 20-year-old to threaten to sit in his chair until the supervisor came out to make a ruling - a threat that turned out to be empty as he picked up his racket and balls after about 45 seconds of discussion. He also shouted out "dirty scum".

Kyrgios was adamant he was directing the abuse at himself, but the unsavoury incident only added to the perception the world number 29, already renowned for his flamboyant style on and off court, has an attitude problem.

The Canberra native, who split with long-time coach Todd Larkham just before Wimbledon, was hardly repentant when quizzed about his outburst at his post-match media conference.

"I wasn't referring to the ref at all there. Yeah, it was towards myself. Obviously I knew you guys were going to ask me about that," he said.

"I'm not too fussed about the call to be honest, but if it was a more crucial time in the match, or deeper in the tournament, that could swing things.

"It shouldn't be something that can be taken lightly. You've got to make the right call there.

"It wouldn't bother me one bit if they fine me."

Pressed by reporters on why he would describe himself in such fashion, Kyrgios grew agitated, saying: "Because I can. Why are you so caught up about the question?"

He is representing himself, not Australia.

The Umpire, even if he made a bad call, did not derserve the unashamed vitriol thatKrygios poured out like a 'big girl's blouse'.

You would never have seen a Rod Laver or Ken Roswell or John Newcombe, or Pat Rafter behave like that. Never...ever.

Standards have dropped to an all time low because in Laver's day, that just simply would not have happened. The players would have copped it sweet, realising that sometimes the odd bad call goes your way.

It shows Unforgiven, how little you know about the game of Tennis and its history.

Krygios bowed out last night to Richard Gascquet, playing with all the antics he has showed thus far.

But he outdid himself last night , deliberately throwing away points to Gasquet whilst having another running battle with the Umpire.

He was so bad the crowd booed him when he started chucking points in a supreme display of petulance.

there was a young girl... cant remember her name.. but she was up there like Serena... and she was a lousy loser.. and her mother who was always watching her matches had to drag her out of the dressing rooms... for the presentation when she lost a final..she was only young....but from then on it was all down hill for her..and she just disappeared.......its something that is very very hard to live down...

this guy will go the same way as Phillippoussis .. they make enemies not friends...just because they can swing a racket.....dont put them on  a pedestal..and let them act like they are gods... and I think thats what happens......

cods, I'll bet you have never been out there on a major stage at a young age trying to do your best, not just for 60 or so seconds as Fraser managed, but for perhaps a couple of hours.  Not only do you have to contend with your own game, your own frustrations about not getting it right, you have an opponent on the other side of the net who also wants to win.  Then....on top of all that, throw in some monkeys whose decisions have a very direct impact on all of the above.  I'll bet you cannot name even one young player of talent who was on such a stage like Wimbledon who did not wear his emotions on his sleeve.

Ethnics close rank with one another as we Anglos rarely do. I've personally witnessed this many times over many years in the workplace. The Domino Effect. Upset one - and you upset them all whether you're right or wrong.

Anglos will make a judgment upon who's right and who's wrong, regardless of whether you're a fellow Pom or a fellow Aussie. But not so the ethnics. Their Racial Discrimination Paranoia doesn't allow them to credit an Anglo against one of Their Own under any circumstances.

This Greek kid who's been born in Multicultural (ie multi-national) Australia will get over it soon enough - being told to go back to Greece. His parents would have drummed it into him since birth that he is Greek first and Australian second (ie Greek-Australian, not Australian-Greek) - and that Melbourne is a Greek city only second to Athens.

He'll come good before too long. He'll be receiving a lot of comments and communication from Australia's Greek Community asking him to tone it down a bit because his behaviour is not the sort of Showcase that's doing the Greek Community any good.

He'll come good. I love his passion and his temper - I'm just the same. Over time he'll develop a more mature response to frustration and disappointment. Lleyton Hewit was another centre court brat who eventually mellowed and learnt to control himself.

In my 54 years in Australia I have never met one English father who taught his Australian-born children to think of themselves as 'English' first and 'Australian' second. Not [u]one[u].

I have met scores of Australian-born young men of Greek, Yugoslavian - etc - parentage during my working life who without prompting referred to themselves as 'Greek' etc.

I've even seen segments on the Current Affairs shows that have explored this phenomenon.

That's okay by me - so long as these second and third generation 'ethnics' don't pretend otherwise.

back when we became citzs.we did it more for the kids.. all born here....we didnt think much of it at the time...now I put far more importance on it... of course the kids still send me up if I support an Englishman say in the tennis...lol.. so rare.... most Brits come over and live like aussies....so many Europeans dont do that I have even known some that never ;learn the language and English is never spoken in the home.. i think thats wrong..

How interesting, my uncle is English-Australian and my cousins refer to themselves as English.


Yet my mates GF who is Greek-Australian refers to herself as Australian.
