WA spending like drunken sailors, Victorian premier says

Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews says Western Australia has had a very good run for a long time and should hold back on their requests for a larger slice of the GST.

Stop spending like “drunken sailors” before asking other states for more GST, Victoria has told Western Australia.

Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews says WA’s requests for a larger slice of the GST distribution pie were “a bit rich” given the way the state has spent over the past few years.   :(

“It’s not for us to build hospitals and schools in WA, where they dig money out of the ground. They’ve had a very good run for a very long time,” Mr Andrews told reporters on Monday.

“They are spending like drunken sailors and they want Victorians to help them pay for it.”   :(

Mr Andrews said he was prepared to negotiate with WA Premier Colin Barnett, but he wasn’t going to ignore the facts.

“It’s a bit rich for us to be asked to turn a blind eye to mining boom one, mining boom two and the budget the WA government is basically running,” he said.

Typical government of all stamps - plenty coming in and plenty more where that from.. the ant and the grasshopper.... spend it all and then wonder what happened when the well dries up....

Then it's "all YOU hands on deck to man the pumps" - while the guv continues its costly enterprises of left or right, sits back and lights a cigar....... and sees no reason to cut those enterprises back..

this is the first thing that's ever been right out of Andrews flapping trap...

WA and go blow it out their bums...

they got their billions and blew the lot..

well.. they do have the best roads in Australia...

now all we have to do is get out GST back from Queensland... filthy beggars..  >:(
