On the Insiders a not pro Abbott ABC panel agreed that it was fine and normal for Abbott not to speak at the NSW Government Campaign launch.

And guess what?  It is.

No doubt he will be front and centre at the event though.

Oh right and that's the grand strategy is it?.  Have him at the event but not to speak publicly so that what? he can win over the party faithful on the night.  I think they already got that covered without him don't you?  Nah I'm with Greens. They asked him along for appearances sake but he's got strict instructions to keep his gaff prone gob absolutely shut. Question is, can he help himself?????

Oh dear....  it's a State Election Spartacrap, its about preaching to the converted.  I think they all know who he is, this event is Bairds to own. :D ::) :D

Of course its not really about preaching to the converted; they could do that just as easily behind closed doors at a fraction of the expense.  No sparky, they bring all those cameras and production teams along because its a public show primarily intended for public consumption to win votes. Seee! Now please, no more theatrics.
