Title: Wonderful pictures of a preserved England Post by Lord Herbert on Mar 16th, 2015 at 6:57am
This is not far from where British comic John Cleese said he goes to spend his holidays because it's one of the few parts of Britain that still remains demographically uncompromised by 60 years of high-pressure Third World immigration influx.
These show a corner of England that is still solidly and uncompromisingly united in their generational identity. No racially paranoid ghetto-fodder blacks or brindles ~ no Sharia Law bearded and veiled religious aliens to be seen anywhere. No need for 'minority-politics' and all the PC crap that goes with it. No need for 'vilification' and 'race-hate' laws in this part of the UK where they have managed to preserve their demographic integrity against all the odds and against the treachery of successive governments wanting to destroy England's identity by injecting millions of Third Worlders throughout the nation. link |

One of the world's foremost First World nations was built upon the shoulders of these urchins and their fathers with the result that today Britain dispenses billions of pound sterling in annual charity-funding to a score of Third World nations whose children were just as poor as these British slum children 150 years ago. |

They were tough days, that's for sure Industrial Revolution destroyed cottage industries and forced them into crowded slums in order to find work and survive Amongst those in the photos you posted, you would find many from continental Europe. Did you know 8000 Italians landed in one hit, seeking work. They were starving at home. And many descendants of those Italians (and all the rest) are still there, selling ice-creams in Morcambe and Blackpool to this day. Tens of thousands flocked to the UK seeking work and worsened already dire situations Had you posted photos of towns and cities in Italy, France, Greece, Spain, Poland, etc. during that same period, they would have been far worse photos. They wouldn't have been standing straight upright like the lads in those photos, nor would they have had boots or clogs. Even in WW2, Allied soldiers were revolted by wartime Europe and wrote home to the US about seeing thousands of continental Europeans squatting in doorways and on balconies, picking nits and lice from each other's hair, etc. So not much point posting selected photos from the past to spoil Herbert's good-cheer, is there ? |

UK needs to stop sending its citizens' money abroad. India has a new middle-class larger than the entire population of the United States --- that's just the Indian middle-class -- courtesy of all the work outsourced by governments like our own India receives ridiculous amounts of money from the UK, to the point India is buying very expensive armaments, liasing with Israel (no wonder, now we know Israel and India agree they spring from the same roots) and putting rockets in space. Time India began sending money to the UK, now |

Cracking good post. I'm not too sure of the point he was trying make with those pictures. I think he might have shot himself in the foot with them. I'll bet he champions 'aboriginal culture' in some of the other threads, but has been strangely reluctant to post-up any photos of aboriginal children as they were then ... or as they are now ... as the beneficiaries of this glorious indigenous culture. |

You might want to try masturbating before you post... It might take the sexual energy out of the bromance going on between you two. |

By the same token, you might attempt to engage the the frontal lobe of your cerebral cortex, assuming it is undamaged, before you embark on a journey of the keyboard. Your commentary on things sexual betrays more about yourself than the intended recipients of your vitriol. Just sayin'. 8-) |

Satire (which my original post draws on) requires 'frontal lobe' and right brain processing. You might want to try engaging both at the same time. |

Aaaah! Satire. That explains the use of the graphic, the juxtaposition of the image as opposed to the claims of a 'preserved' heritage. Sorry for the misinterpretation, I wasn't expecting satire. However, if we intend to make a point with regard to 'preserved' heritage, I feel it only fair that you post a similar image depicting life on the streets of Sydney during the same era. And perhaps another of the life of kids in the 'bush' during the same period. We should remember, of course, that such snapshots were of an age, and no longer reflect life in our modern societies - for all sorts of reasons. And that, after all, is the point, isn't it ? And that was the point being made. |

Yairs! Satire. This one being the lampooning of the nostalgic need to relive the past. Lionel Edriess wrote on Mar 17th, 2015 at 11:27pm:
I could have but it would have detracted from the satirical lampooning of an Englishman pining for the 'lost world' of 'England'. Lionel Edriess wrote on Mar 17th, 2015 at 11:27pm:
Yes. That would be the given point (change) from which a satire on nostalgic need to relive the past would arise. Lionel Edriess wrote on Mar 17th, 2015 at 11:27pm:
Yes. That, after all, was the point of my post. Lionel Edriess wrote on Mar 17th, 2015 at 11:27pm:

Is this the epitome and glory of the English? Is this what they were at their best? A bunch of knuckle-draggers? This is exactly the kind of thing that makes workers in a Chinese sweatshop feel right at home. It's the kind of thing that sends shivers down the spine of Gaius Baltar. He's had enough of working-class heroes. |

The question that preys on my mind is WHY weren't the visibly ethnic rate-payers of Falmouth seen to be marching in lock-step with that crowd? Why do I have the horrible feeling that if there isn't a 'quid' in it - they all stay at home? WHY do I have the feeling that the local Brindles, Blacks and Muslims might have been exercising a little reverse racism in choosing not to rally behind all these white folks in memory of this fine police officer who fell off his perch at such a young age? If this officer had been a migrant of exotic appearance instead of a white Brit - you can be damned sure the street would have been stiff with coloured ethnics who had travelled in from all over Cornwell to take part in the rally. The streets would have been more crowded with Blacks and Brindles than Sydney' Oxford Street during the annual Running of the Buttocks. 8-) |

I suppose the eastern suburbs of Sydney can look a bit lily-white too, if you were selective with what you saw.
