My version of events: perhaps a more realistic one than all this greenhouse BS.
By 2034 China surpasses US in military strength. China attacks the US with all they got because of all the lead poisoning in the soil and acid flooding in the rivers and a general lack of breathable air in Beijing. Meanwhile India slugs it out with Pakistan and the hell is breaking loose all over the Pacific between US and China camps. Then EU back-stabs the US, allies with Russia and together they finish off whoever is left standing of the two super-power-wanna-bes. Not sure what happens in the Middle East other than Israel vs everyone who is not Israel, but nothing good for sure. |

Collapse of the current petroleum baswed easy energy economy will result in a massive downturn in the ability to produce and move goods - for those countries not wise enough to look for alternatives NOW - and a consequent descent of the globe into war, disease, destruction on the mega scale, and depopulation of many areas, leading to invasions of those areas still capable of sustaining life.....
