We need coal to fight climate change, says Whitehaven's Paul Flynn

Whitehaven Coal managing director Paul Flynn has delivered a spirited defence of the coal industry as an economic and environmental good, saying we may be relying on the fossil fuel to tackle climate change.

At the company's annual meeting in Sydney on Tuesday, Mr Flynn argued that the high level of investment in coal and the promise of carbon capture and storage technology meant that "coal may well be the only form of energy that can materially address the man-made contributions to climate change".

No! Not at all Coal is a very cheap means of heat. Ideal for clean green energy!

Government from Howard on have totally opposed Coal investing in clean green energy as would result in a decrease in coal burning and would force Politicians to think!

A thinking would require them find ways to replace the lost revenue from Coal tonnage loss.  Better just to keep the high Coal burn and subsequent Carbon Emissions! Politicians already have bullshit and bluster down pat!

Coal itself would receive a four times price increase, Carbon emission become zero and energy to the voter is half the price.

Since the times of Howard all Governments and Political Parties have opposed Coal backing clean green energy.

The Australian technology came about during Coals $1 Billion investment in Carbon Capture and Storage.

The voter threw in another $1 Billion, yet you never hear of one thing from the $2 Billion Australian investment.

One example attached produces three hundred times the power of Steam, so burning three hundred times less Coal.

240 tonne Coal per hour drops to 0.8 tonne per hour.

Carbon emission from the little burn is taken for stocking the new green energy.

They don't mention what the availability is when it's one or the other or neither.

Meanwhile Germany is going back to coal-

'Germany is headed for its biggest electricity glut since 2011 as new coal-fired plants start and generation of wind and solar energy increases, weighing on power prices that have already dropped for three years. '
