The WP8.1 update has been released, mine took the update yesterday.

There are a few new features, and a better, cleaner layout. The Apps Store is much better.

BUT...

The best thing... and I've been waiting nearly a year for this.

The volume controls for the ringer volume and the media player volume are now separate.

No more missing calls because you've had the earphones in, and forgotten to reset the volume.
