Volvo is no different to any other piston engine maker, they want to retain their out of date technology for as long as possible.

The attached shown has a horizontal shaft, yet the same parts and efficiency go with a horizontal shaft.

Diesel fuel heating the expansion of air produces 6 bar pressure force to the engine shaft. Much of which is not converted as the shaft is not turbine and so many mechanical parts attached further drain any useful energy.

Engine makers all have seen the writing on the wall since 2010. We now see the price of piston engines spiralling downward as if engine makers are doing a clean out!

Its actually a fridge. Hot refrigerant pushes the turbine.

In your fridge hot Refrigerant pushes against a waste plate with a tiny hole in it to allow the Refrigerant through. It and a turbine does the same thing, strips the energy from the Refrigerant. This creates a phase change from hot liquid to cold gas.

The fridge compressor then squeezes the cold gas into cold liquid, and returns it to the heat cell.

The cold liquid is then heated back to gas which powers the turbine.

Domestic application the heat source not go above +30*C, most happy at 20*C. Whilst will work at -20*C.

That shown as the cooling chamber in fact is the cold cabinet of your fridge.

Nothing prevents the hot beer and other things going for Refrigerant pre-heat before reaching the heat cell.

A 9 bar force flow of one litre per second activates the turbine and produces 720 watts. Increase in bar force or force flow increases the wattage output.

Pressure bar force is the difference between the Refrigerant hot and cold.

The insane thing is if you have two bits of pipe, a bit of rod, a hacksaw, a welder, and some plate, you can make your own.

The Federal LNP have a Sovereign Risk ban on it being used in Australia. An earlier piston model gift taken By Kevin Rudd, Greg Hunt keeps in concealment.
