Title: Tip for faster posting Post by mantra on Jul 30th, 2014 at 12:52pm
I thought it was my computer playing up, but I've noticed quite a few posts in duplicate and triplicate here.
When you reply and the post seems to take forever to go through - just use your back button to get back to the thread - then use your forward button to get back to your reply and submit it as soon as the post message button reappears. It goes through immediately. You can use the same method for modifying your posts. Sometimes when the post takes too long to process - you lose the link, although you can get back to it by going forward and saving it again. |

Maybe it is my computer and all those posts in triplicate are just members exercising their frustration with the opposition. |

By the looks of it Herbert - I might be the only one with this problem. If it doesn't fix itself soon - I'll put up a thread in technical. If it is my computer - then I blame the cat for this. A stray tail keeps pressing the fn button and this might be the cause. |

I think it might be some sort of timeout issue of which there are about 500 solutions. If you choose the wrong solution - then you've got to start sifting through hundreds more solutions to fix your stuff up, which of course can lead to even greater problems. |

The type of modem you use might have something to do with your occasional slow delivery problem. The performance here greatly improved when I went from a fairly primitive modem to the one I have now ... a ... Thomson TG 782T Home Network Gateway (with remote capability). :) |

I had thought there might be a problem with the modem, but there are no issues with a second computer in another room a little closer to it. I've never bought a modem and just use the free ones my Telco sends me. I didn't have this problem with my previous computer, but I might look into it. Since I've had this new computer - there have been a lot of problems I haven't encountered before. Quote:
I've disabled my remote access - but I'll look into the above modem. Thanks Herbert |

I had a problem with my memory too ... gruelling night shift just decimated what was left of my brain lol...and it took me months to catch up on sleep...it was a real problem..but better now thankfully. I couldnt find my car keys everyday for work same old thing..then I developed a technique that I call...imprinting..and that works 100%..of course putting them on the hook marked car keys was very useful as well....but that technique works for everything..no matter how tired you are. :) |

If you don't get dirty or work up a sweat during the day, no need to shower in the evening, but it helps you wake up in the morning, and you are least smelly when you get to work.

You can't be serious. A shower at the end of the day is an absolute 'must' in a country that has a burning sun, summer and winter as it is here. It's not about washing the dirt off ... it's about washing the sweat off your body. That's why thousands of European migrants return home for good each year ... because of the Great Australian SWEAT that sticks your clothes to your body, and coats your exposed parts in a sebaceous oil that attracts flies, mosquitoes, fleas, gnats, lice, and other crawling insects. 8-) |

Civilised people spend their day in air conditioning, telling people like you where to dig holes.

They go to the gym after work - air conditioned of course.

If they work up a sweat or get dirty, they just have a shower before bed instead of when they wake up.

We've gone the full circle. Shower in the (morning &) evening: makes sense. Shower only in the morning: You're going to roll around in bed with your body coated in sweaty oils. ****** Tips for faster posting. By far the worst problem I have is doing a quick Google search while in the middle of a post, and then I can't get back to the post. Happens at least once a day. |

The half dozen times I went to the gym there were women exercising in one part of the gym checking each other out and muscle bound beef cakes doing the same thing in another part...it was a weird and superficial environment...needless to say I didn't last long. |

Title: Re: Tip for faster posting Post by A.G on Aug 3rd, 2014 at 12:16pm
The hunks I saw were into each other..its funny no matter how cute they are when I see them checking out each other? I cant get past that, but yes the perv factor is def. a bonus.. my main form of exercise is taking my dog for a walk..once in the evening with my daughter.
When its a quarter moon I go for walks at night, just so I can take in the moon. |
