For the past several weeks, Newman has been going around claiming his tough stance on crime has seen a reduction in crime, across the state,  of around 10% ..... now he's been busted lying. Crime fell 2.1% and is merely a continuation of past trends

Or, to put it plainly,  his fascist stance has had zero or negligible effect
