The volume of Antarctic sea ice has risen by about 7.5% since 1992. The volume of Arctic sea ice, on the other hand, has declined by about 75% since 1980. Antarctica has been gaining about 30 cubic kilometers (km3) of sea ice volume per year, while the Arctic has been losing 10 times as much – 300 km3 per year. http://www.theguardian.com/environment/climate-consensus-97-per-cent/2014/jul/07/antarctic-sea-ice-latest-global-warming-distraction |

In other words, not global. Thanks for sharing.

Sea ice extents vary, temperatures around the world varies, AGW is about human influenced sustained warming trends.

Antarctica is land surrounded by ocean whereas the arctic is ocean surrounded by land: completely different! One hemisphere is colder than the other due to land to sea ratios.. etc... It's all complex whichever way you slice and dice it! Currents in the air are more important depending on lattitude than ocean currents... yadda yadda yadda!!! :o :o |
