"Jacqui Lambie has taken another swipe at Tony Abbott, declaring the prime minister needs "a bucket of cement" to toughen up if he can't cop her criticism.

The outspoken Palmer United Party senator hasn't shied away from airing her dislike of Mr Abbott, who she's called a "bare-faced, uncaring liar" and a man willing to put his career ahead of his family's safety."

"Buckets' Abbott?  Pair of cement shoes?

Go girl - my style of girl. I would be calling the Mad Monk a liar at every chance as well - that's what he is. He's been proven to be untrustworthy so now you would never know when he is telling the truth or not.

HE is the problem. Get rid of him LNP.

(She's an ex-Meat Head  ;) :) - tough as  ;D)

We lament no straight talking pollies

Well it seems we now have one, & on cue the media seem hellbent on casting her as a fruitloop.

She may well be but calling out Abbott for his lies is hardly a nutty act, the bloody media should be, pity they are gutless.

Yes she does have some appeal.

Ex-army

Doesn't like the Greens

Doesn't support gay marriage.

Supports the reintroduction of National Service

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacqui_Lambie

Quote:
(From WIKI) she [Lambie] launched an attack on the The Greens, accusing them of having "destroyed all hope in Tasmania" and saying that the party should be subject to a Senate inquiry over the state's high unemployment rate. She said she had been gathering "intelligence" on Greens activities and when she had enough she would "throw it across the table".

Quote:
(From WIKI) On the topic of National Service Lambie has stated that she supports a reintroduction:

"Maybe it is time we placed national service back on the agenda but reconfigured to suit today’s conditions … It’s time to teach [our youth] some respect, loyalty and honour."[12]

She has also stated that she opposes gay marriage:

"… where we are not prepared to compromise is the word ‘marriage’. We believe this sacred word is used for a commitment between a man and a woman … We are not prepared to compromise or question that of a higher power … the word marriage belongs to Australian grassroots, morals and those of the church."

...oh yes, plenty of appeal.   ;)

She might put one on Milne's chin?  That would be gold..... ;D

These minor parties make labor and liberal look good.
anyone who votes for a minor party should get an appointment with Scott Morrison and a one way ticket to manus island

She has a point, Abbott needs to harden up and stop playing the victim .. it was good of him to get down and dirty when he was in opposition, why does he now cry if it happens to him?

While at the very least she is:

A) not part of the Labor party
B) not part of the Liberal party
C) far more entertaining than the majority of politicians

It is worth remembering that she has burnt a tonne of bridges in her already very short political career, having been part of both Labor and Liberal parties.

I'm don't have high hopes for her to be honest, but anything to deter the big parties is a welcome sign in the senate.

This side of a DD.

Both sides have plenty to play for.

But Jacqui knows if she gets some publiciity and gives the Mad Monk a hard time she is on a win win - play hardball and get benefits for Tas if there is no DD, or get a tough no nonsense rep to help re-election chances if there is a DD. :)

Where as the Mad Monk is been forced to eat humble pie with lashings of rebounded lies - and looks like the lying goose he is. ;) :)

Win, win - for Jacqui and Australia. Go girl

Lambie enlisted in the Australian Army in 1989,[3] spending over ten years in the Australian Army specialising in transport management and military policing.[4] She achieved the rank of corporal but at one point was charged and reduced in rank after assaulting a fellow soldier while intoxicated.[5] During a field exercise in July 1997 she suffered injuries that resulted in severe backpain. Over some time she worked to regain her fitness and at one point had a breast reduction procedure paid for by the military in an attempt to alleviate pain she suffered. One day away from leaving for her first operational deployment in East Timor she discovered that due to her previous injuries she was not able to support the weight of her body armour and was eventually discharged for medical reasons (thoracic pain) in 2000.[6] She since been an advocate for veterans with the Returned Services League and involved in fundraising with the Burnie Chamber of Commerce, the Country Women's Association and Rotary.[4]

Dispute with the Department of Veterans Affairs[edit]

Lambie then commenced a protracted battle with the Department of Veterans Affairs which was not resolved until the case reached the Administrative Appeals Tribunal in 2006. In the meantime the department had deemed that she was a malingerer and ceased paying her military pension in addition to the medical costs her condition was incurring. A private investigations firm took five hours of footage of Lambie performing various household tasks and this evidence formed the main basis for the department's refusal, however they later withdrew this evidence which resulted in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal accepting many of her claims but not those such as cupping therapy and gym memberships.[7]

Political career[edit]

Her political involvement began volunteering for Tasmanian Australian Labor Party senator Nick Sherry. In November 2011 she joined the Liberal Party of Australia and later decided to run for preselection for the Division of Braddon but was unable to afford the $2,000 nomination fee. Lambie has stated that she soon spoke with Liberal state director Sam McQuestin who she alleges told her that she would only be required to pay $100 of the nomination fee as he had located somebody who was willing to pay the rest of the fee on her behalf. After eventually losing the preselection ballot Lambie decided to announce that she would still run in the election as an independent but was later informed that under the party rules she had now voided her membership. When told of this she “flew off the handle and bolted", Lambie has said that she believes that she was encouraged to run for preselection to achieve a spoiler effect in the branch to allow Sam McQuestin's preferred candidate to win and stated: "I didn't realise that Liberal preselections were … forums for nasty factional fights... After I found out the truth, I felt used and soon resigned from the Liberal Party."

She then turned to the new party Palmer United Party founded by billionaire Clive Palmer as she said “I just didn’t have the money like the big players did for advertising.”[8]

In the 2013 federal election, Lambie picked up Tasmania's sixth Senate seat. She prevailed with a margin of about 15,000 votes over Liberal hopeful Sally Chandler and Robbie Swan from the Australian Sex Party. She has credited the final result of her win to "the big man upstairs" also saying "Once it gets to that point, it's up to God upstairs. There's not much else I can do about it."[9] Lambie has also stated that she prays every morning and night.[10]

In October 2013 she launched an attack on the The Greens, accusing them of having "destroyed all hope in Tasmania" and saying that the party should be subject to a Senate inquiry over the state's high unemployment rate. She said she had been gathering "intelligence" on Greens activities and when she had enough she would "throw it across the table".[11]

On the topic of National Service Lambie has stated that she supports a reintroduction:

"Maybe it is time we placed national service back on the agenda but reconfigured to suit today’s conditions … It’s time to teach [our youth] some respect, loyalty and honour."[12]

She has also stated that she opposes gay marriage:

It is worth remembering that she has burnt a tonne of bridges in her already very short political career, having been part of both Labor and Liberal parties.

I'm don't have high hopes for her to be honest, but anything to deter the big parties is a welcome sign in the senate.

She is there for six years, she can cause a lot of headaches in that time.

Where as the Mad Monk is been forced to eat humble pie with lashings of rebounded lies - and looks like the lying goose he is. ;) :)

Of course they do ... you've never heard of the Franciscan Monks?

Having people like this Jacqi Lambie critter or that Motorist Party dick wad in parliament isn't a good look or good for the country.

I know there seems to be a race to the bottom with Australian politics, but why hurry it along with the likes of that pair of bogans?

Jacqi Lambie may have been taken in by Palmer policy, it looks good.

She is bound by Palmer Constitution which it be hoped she has read.

Curious as why she would join a Political Party who's owner can change its constitution at his personal whim, and not need any support from others engaged in the Party?

V.33 Clive F. Palmer is fully authorised to amend this Constitution up until 31 December 2016 and a declaration signed by him or the Chairman of the Interim Executive Committee shall be conclusive proof that such amendment has happened.

Yes, I can see why you Grendel would applaud a stand against normal people in parliament .... we can't have that now can we, we want professional politicians who spend their whole life in politics and have no real understanding of what real people go through.

As I have posted previously, I have asked for a copy and was told they were not making any available and the excuse for that was a possible name change.  I was unaware it was available on line.

I have just scanned quickly through it, and the structure referred to therein certainly does not currently exist, to my knowledge.

So, I'm about to name a new syndrome.  It's called the Grendel Syndrome.  It exists because I just named it, and therefore it is.  The symptoms are varied and of concern.  For the most part it is easily identified when someone, especially Grendel, calls others delusional or buffons or similar without providing any substance whatsoever, sometimes in conjunction with arrogant demands that people ought stop wasting his time.  Others may have identified tell tale signs I have not referred to.

Mr Woof Woof, please turn it up.  While I readily concede there are some here you might convince with that outrageous rubbish, most won't fall for it.  PUP attracted 22,184 primary Senate votes in Tasmania.

It's true and to the point.
The bloke is clearly an absolute loon and it's absurd he has a voice amongst sensible political voices.

The guy is an egotistical buffoon and his party attracts mesmerised Brother Clive followers.

According to Wiki, that is not correct concerning Muir.

Quote:
Muir represented AMEP in Victoria at the 2013 federal election and won on a record-low primary vote of 0.51 percent or 17,122 first preferences.

And Andrie, it seems you are suffering from the Grendel Syndrome.  It is not helpful to simply be personally abusive with unsubstantiated descriptions like egotistical buffoon.  Next, you'll be telling us not to waste your time.

What does it matter who wrote the Policy.  Surely, it is the Policy which matters, and it seems that many are attracted to it.  Hence the obvious political success of PUP, which you find very hard to come to grips with politically, ideologically and personally.  You have made your personal dislike of Palmer very well known.

Its Palmers party and its stops if he wants it to.

W.6 The Interim Executive Council may at any time wind up the Party.

W.3 The Chairman is fully authorised to exercise all powers of the Interim Executive Committee and a declaration signed by the Chairman shall be conclusive proof of the subject matter of any thing to which is relates.

And who diagnosed her with Lambie syndrome? You? What are the symptoms and can you show me where it is in any medical journal? What makes you think she's dellusional? Because she told Abbott to harden up?

Admit it, all your problems with her stem from the fact that she doesn't like Abbott.

I consider I was the first to name the syndrome...  yes...  jealous?
If you don't think she's delusional, then you are...
many people dislike Abbott, many not as hateful as you or deluded as her. :D :D :D
Do stop wasting my time. ::)

No prizes for 2nd Arsie and honestly grow a sense of humour mate.  :D :D :D
I was surprised to see she's not very popular with the Twitterati either. :D ;D :D ;D :D

There is nothing second about the Grendel Syndrome.  I was first to identify and name it, and even described some readily identifiable signs.  You jealous about that, Grendel?

Rougher - more violent in nature - like a lot of cops.

As a footnote - you will not get a look-in with the SAS if you are of a violent nature.... some have been RTU'd for excessive violence...including officers.

AEC
Commencement
A constitution usually sets out details about how the organisation can adopt the Constitution.  adverb Oxford Under normal conditions; generally:

PUP CONSTITUTION

AS ADOPTED ON 11 MAY 2013

AEC
Mechanism for changing the constitution
Usually a constitution sets out the procedures for amending the constitution from time to time. Often, this is linked to the party's decision making process, but there is a larger majority required for the vote to pass.

Oxford Usually
adverb Under normal conditions; generally:

Difference of normal conditions; Citizens Liberal Party Au. and Business of Mineralogy Pty Ltd.

Business entity Palmer United Party applied for registration as a Political Party, however it not be subject to the normal conditions of Citizen Party seeking election to Parliament.

This was achieved by words having two definitions, so making it appear there be a separation where one is not.

Special bonus for Clive to amend without notice nor consultation, is removed to the last so not to be picked up in the essence of the Constitution!

The Australian Electoral Commission has the power to review its actions.

Such investigation is required into PUP Constitution that accompanied its application for registration as a Political Party.

AEC Law. A constitution usually sets out details about how the organisation can adopt the Constitution.

Usually adverb Oxford Under normal conditions; generally:

Complaint Palmer United Party apparent not usual or general circumstance is that its a Business Entity solely of Mineralogy Pty Ltd and not a Citizen based Political party.

Why then it should not be subject to the usual and general practice so seen by other registered Political Parties requires investigation. Example Liberal Party Of Australia.

First reading the PUP Constitution gives the impression all is complied with, however a second reading where words having two definitions are read as one definition, an entirely different Constitution emerges.

Removal of PUP registration from the AEC does not effect the election outcome.

AEC should not be seen to favour one Political Party over another. PUP registration is a clear example of that, though it should be noted it appears the AEC were deceived into making that decision!
