If you watch Shorten's Parliamentary response to the budge, you'll see a few shots of Hockey's face the above -- (and thanks for posting it) -- is a split second

The Youtube vid shows several seconds.  And you see Hockey's face register what I read to be acceptance of the truths raised by Shorten.  For a split second, Hockey looks to be on the verge of tears

What we see from Hockey is what I suspect was the face of Hockey the boy when caught out and knowing he deserved to be caught

I'm not a fan of Hockey.  But the fact he shrugged off Pyne and chose to take Shorten's truth in the teeth, indicates to me that Hockey still has something human remaining

Abbott on the other hand, and that ghastly wreckage Bishop, are lost causes.  Compromised and rotten to the absolute core

Pyne of course is just an idiot

and Truss isn't worth two cents thought

He might feel a little bit of guilt, the sweat is usually a giveaway. Guilt that he has been forced to lie so blatantly. Some people don't lie well, Gillard, Rudd, Julie Bishop and Abbott are all so much better than Hockey.

The cigar smoking and dancing (he was totally caught out when Laurie Oakes put him on the spot) showed that he has no remorse.

Of course it's not a budget he wants to deliver. Of course he'd rather announce a new hospital or finish the Pacific Hwy upgrade sooner or other things that would earn him universal praise. But he can't do that this time around (maybe in his 5th or 6th budget). Why, you ask? Because of an economic illiterate called Wayne Swan.

Seriously? A liberal feel guilt? That would be the day. Regret perhaps because of the polls but i doubt it.

You are dreaming if you think Hockey will be around to deliver budgets in 5 or 6 years.

The liberals have gone to far with their budget of evil.  Will Mr Abbott be a one term wonder?.     :(

.................."IF" you can just stop the gimme, gimme, gimme mentality just for a moment and look at what the bigger picture is for Australia and Australian's you would understand the huge benefit of this budget.

I know it is a sure bet that the Liberal's will still hold office for at least the next 10 years.

Imagine this: Hockey delivered his first budget and it included a promise to provide 100% free healthcare to every Australian, just as is the case in Denmark or the Netherlands - I can't remember which. Their health system is second-to-none. The catch is that their citizens are taxed rather heavily, but enjoy free healthcare, free public transport, etc paid for by their taxes. Their life expectancy is higher than ours. Now, if Hockey tried that here? He'd get lynched. Why? Australians can't see past their own wants/needs to see what good could come from such a budget. This saddens me, because we, too, could have what the people in Denmark have.

I mean completely free. Altraxone costs $36 for breast cancer patients and a ludicrous $15k for a men's cancer. They should/could be free!

You should be voting greens because it isn't in the liberal party DNA to ever consider free unconditional healthcare.  And we know this how? Because rather than put in funds for a sustainable hospital system they are ripping $50 billion out.  And at the same time they are imposing a co payment which goes against the very notion of what you suggest, and is purely based on ideology given the funds are not going into keeping Medicare funded, but for a whole new policy completely independent of Medicare.

As for your argument that people want but don't want to give, I agree.  We want a tax system of Asia with government programs of Europe.  But that's impossible and the only way to get this to point is to reform not just income tax, but introduce wealth taxes and to stop running away from the idea of an increase.  Yet it's tony himself who says it's not liberal party DNA to increase taxes.  So any meaningful tax reform that effectively collects revenue from areas that can give is never going to happen while we have a tony led government.

Keep dreaming if you think hockey and tony are ever fighting for the most vulnerable and for a just society.  What this budge has proven is that they are beholden to their master Gina.  And that's it.

Dying for a dump, but just can't get one out.

Maybe that was why he brought down a sh#t budget, instead?
