Title: Bikie Jail Has Only 1 Prisoner Post by True Colours on May 2nd, 2014 at 1:11pm
Money well spent?
Woodford's 52-bed 'bikie-only' prison has just one prisoner, union says, despite overcrowding elsewhere The public sector union, Together, says the 52-bed "bikie-only" prison at Woodford, north of Brisbane, is virtually empty with just one "bikie" prisoner, while the Maryborough jail remains over capacity. The Queensland Government's "bikie-only" prison was established at the Woodford Correctional Centre in October last year and began taking inmates in December. However, Together spokeswoman Allison Finley-Bisset says the Woodford facility is under-utilised. "Last I heard is there's only one prisoner in the bikie unit at Woodford, even though that's a fully manned facility," she said. In April, the Queensland Corrective Services Department confirmed the Maryborough Correctional Facility was over capacity by more than 35 prisoners. Ms Finley-Bisset says with the Woodford facility almost empty, the State Government has its priorities wrong... http://www.abc.net.au/news/2014-05-02/just-one-prisoner-woodford-52-bed-bikie-only-prison-union-says/5425118 |

In between this and the epic fail of a kids boot camp, I'm amazed anyone thinks Newman is good at trimming the fat.

What's the big deal?
They could only have one more in there anyway. If they put more than two in, they could get done for aiding in the commission of a crime, by congregating three or more of these desperadoes together, because that alone is illegal in the state of disbelief. |

Excellent! They'd be charged, convicted, and sentenced ... charged, convicted, and sentenced ... charged, convicted, and sentenced ... charged, convicted, and sentenced ... They'd never get out or prison! :) |

I gather that Newman took on the writers from Yes Minister as his policy advisers then?
Sir Humphrey has retired to Q'land perhaps, working part-time for Newman? :D :D :D :D :D :D |
