Title: Putin's master plan
Post by bogarde73 on Mar 28th, 2014 at 2:34pm
As a Russian nationalist out of the same mould maybe as Peter the Great, Putin has been quietly working away at his plan to re-establish a Russian empire or a Soviet Union to put his country back on the map again.

He has already enveloped several countries in a customs union, incl. Khazakstan & Tajikistan, even probably Georgia and now he will include parts of Ukraine. Other former soviet satellites who may not get EU membership in the foreseeable future will probably be gathered into the fold with the promise of energy security and trade possibilities.

His objective is to have a Eurasian Common Market under Russian influence, which will rival the power centres of the EU, China and the US. He already considers the EU as an empty power centre. He was overheard to refer to it as guinea pigs on a wheel because of their inability to reach an agreement.

At the same time he has succeeded in doing a "Snowden job" on the west. The seeds of distrust have been sown among leading western countries - the US, Britain, Germany - by the leaking of intelligence information. Russia's gain, the Us and Europe's loss.
It is not improbable that it may eventually be found that Snowden has been a KGB plant all along (or whatever it's called now). It may not be a coincidence that Snowden went first to Hong Kong and then on to Russia, where he gained "asylum".

Fun & games and it's not even cold yet.

Naaa, try Stalin.

Autocratic, ruled with an iron fist, oppressive and expansionary.

You used to be a lefty, Pansi.

Why the change with the Putin support?

As far as right wing conservatives go, Putin makes the likes of Abbott, GW Bush and Thatcher look like rank amateur wannabes.

The guy's the current pinup boy for right wing conservative nationalists.

That wouldn't be my guess, but you feel free to think what you like.

It's not as clear cut as lefty and righty, it's more about justice, I am on the side of anything or anyone that can put a halt to the USA/EU/NATO/IMF/UN oligarchy of corruption.

I know Putin is a right wing capitalist, so what? I don't have to live in Russia or even like Russia or Putin for that matter, doesn't mean I can't respect his power and ingenuity, and it doesn't stop me from taking Putin's side against the hypocrisy of the west. The New World Order must be stopped at any cost and people are starting to realise this now.

If Putin is the only man in the world that can stop America & Co, then I'm right behind him.

I remember when you denied there was a NWO, please tell me you've changed your opinion on that. Conspiracy facts ha! WMD yeah right!

As a matter of interest, Ukraine hasn't even been a country for that long.
For hundreds of years it was part of the Duchy of Lithuania, which included bits of Poland and other countries, It was in fact once the biggest country in Europe.
Nikita Kruschev, known best for table thumping, gave it a sort of seperate status in the 1950s.

In terms of morality Putin is like naive nun in compassion with western oligarchs.

Ukraine as a country and a "nation" was artificially created to undermine majority of Russian population in Soviet Union.

Putin is a power hungry mad dictator.

It is up to us in the free world to ensure we support Ukraine and not allow Russia to ignore the international community to just illegally invade and annex land they want!

He rolled in and annexed part of Ukraine.
It is not acceptable.

Few puppets?

The entire European Union?
The UN vote - only Russia did not condemn.

Nope. This is aggression and is not to be stood.

Putin cares nothing for democracy. He is scum. As are his soldiers and their atrocities in Chechnya.

putin is an opportunist who recognises weakness and exploits it.

in seeing Obama and dave Cameron as weak, he is a good judge of character.

I suppose Obama can wave a piece of paper guaranteeing "peace in our time"

good on vlad,  if the west don't like it, do something about it.  Oh yeah, sanctions ;) ;).
Vlad will love that, will stop the corrupt oligarchs sending their money to Chelsea.
And cut their gas off while your at it vlad. show em who's boss ;)

Europe is raped and occupied by 110 000 US soldiers in 170 military bases across European continent.
