Title: The 'News' and 'TV'
Post by Winston Smith on Feb 26th, 2014 at 9:00am
I have become increasingly aware that the 'news' is an unmitigated litany of murder, mayhem, fear and negativity. We all know bad things happen to all kinds of people. On top of the doom and gloom of international affairs, why is it necessary to dwell on each obscure accident and misfortune to befall unfortunate individuals? Do we need to be exposed to the minutiae of the sad, grisly details of each incident?  I no longer consider it as 'news' at all, more like a rolling obituary. An non-stop orgy of fear mongering.  Being exposed to this on a daily basis cannot be healthy.

In fact the entire TV experience has become a gruesome assault on the senses. Ads being blasted at us at twice the volume of the programs we are trying to follow, forcing us to ride the TV control or suffer burst ear drums. The graphic depictions of murder, violence and death that fill almost every time slot. Gross, greedy, ego monsters battling it out with one another to see who gets to be queen of the garbage dump. The latest thing seems to be hordes of rotting human bodies either eating people alive or being dismembered and decapitated.

To what end I ask?

Not sure to what end.

I speculated on this about 10-15 years ago, but then lost interest.

Maybe money for advertisers and those that run and operate the tv stations.

The zombies and the desolated landscapes which we see in a lot of movies now is to prepare us for whats coming.

A zombie is a dead person walking. The elite refer to the general public as the Dead.

"Let the Dead bury the dead" says JC.
