What do you use? I notice on the laptop thread phones starting to get mentioned and I'm in the market for a new one. I live in the bush and my wife uses an iphone 4 as it's a blue tick phone and gets better coverage. I notice the new iphone 5c is a blue tick but the iphone 5s is not. I was thinking about a 5c but the plastic kind of puts me off given its price, anyone got one?

it means that they are good in country areas where the signal is hard to pick up...

Never heard of a blue tick phone.

I use Samsung.

No problems.

I've always used Nokia phones as they've made sense, to me...

other phones I've used (not mine) have driven me nuts...

if I want to answer, reply and then send an SMS for instance... I only ever want to push one button per function... not 2 or 3  >:(

I think that they Iphones these days are all pretty good.. Apple, Samsung, Nokia..

just depends on your budget and what features you like...

a lot of people like to go Apple just for the "wank" factor... although they are a great phone was well...

not a fan of Apple Iphone ... most of the functions will only work with Apple programmes and are not compatible with my pc's or other phones in the family. 

I had an iphone 2 once and I couldn't even send my wife an sms because she had a nokia. Never again (although I have been told they are better now).

I now have the Samsung 3. Works great for what I want. I used to have the HTC but the signal would drop out just walking around my house. never had that problem with the samsung.

smartphone soon, and have decided to go with the Nokia Lumia 520 prepaid.

Seems to have plenty of bang for the bucks, and a decent camera as well (my current
phone's camera sucks!).

Samsung Galaxy here on Telstra 4G.  Excellent. I can drag and drop pictures on to my computer via Wireless  (Samba shares on Linux) using the File Manager app.

I know what you mean about Apple. Why do they have to make everything so difficult when it comes to sharing with another OS?  What is so difficult about putting a mini USB socket on it?

As True Blue says, it's for country areas where it is hard to get coverage. It makes a difference, I can not make or receive calls at my place unless I go up my hill where as my wife can sit on the lounge and receive/ make calls. We are both with the same carrier,Telstra, but mine is not a blue tick.
