Title: A Serious Debate On Abbott's Mental Health
Post by Greens_Win on Jun 10th, 2013 at 10:26am
For Abbott's wellbeing and Australia's future, it is time to discuss a serious issue about Tony's health.

Boxing's side effect in a higher rate of alzheimers due to brain damage of being repeatedly boxed in the head.

Now the early signs of alzheimers

Memory loss. Although older memories might seem unaffected, people with dementia might forget recent experiences or important dates or events that interferes with daily life. Anyone can forget some details from a recent event or conversation or recall them later. People with dementia might forget the entire thing.
Repetition. People with dementia may repeat stories, sometimes word for word. They may keep asking the same questions, no matter how many times they’re answered.
Language problems. We all struggle to remember a word occasionally. People with dementia can have profound problems remembering even basic words. Their way of speaking may become contorted and hard to follow.
Personality changes. People with dementia may have sudden mood swings. They might become emotional - upset or angry - for no particular reason. They might become withdrawn or stop doing things they usually enjoy. They could become uncharacteristically suspicious of family members -- or trusting of telemarketers.
Disorientation and confusion. People with dementia may get lost in places they know very well, like their own neighborhoods. They may have trouble completing basic and familiar tasks, like cooking dinner or shaving.
Lack of hygiene. Sometimes this is the most obvious sign of Alzheimer’s disease. People who have dressed smartly every day of their lives might start wearing stained clothing or stop bathing.
Odd behavior. We all misplace our keys from time to time. People with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias are prone to placing objects in odd and wholly inappropriate places. They might put a toothbrush in the fridge or milk in the cabinet under the sink.

Have you observed any of these symptoms in Mr Abbott.

Surely it would be better for Mr Abbott  to get a brain scan before the election so he can start treatment early ... or voters can try and build confidence in Abbott's mental abillity.

It doesn't matter.

His political opponents, particularly the Green ones are already mentally challenged.

So you are happy to hand government to a potentially mentally challenged person like Abbott.

The side effect, the extra pressure of government would speed up his collapse.

A little selfish on your part don't you think.

Boxing also creates vigour, courage, strength, confidence, self-esteem, valour, speed, and stamina. Every man should learn boxing or a martial art.

Incorrect, he was boxed in the head over a long time period, so sustained a large amount of brain trauma.

Quote:
PLAYING first-grade rugby as a prop for Sydney University at the age of 19, Tony Abbott, the newly elected leader of the Liberal Party, received more than his fair share of foul blows. I understand. I played football for the University of Tasmania during the Vietnam war. We learnt all about fear on the football field.

Eventually, ''Abo'', as he is known to his mates, went off with a couple of others and sought instruction in boxing. A few years later, while drinking in a pub with a group of friends at Oxford, it was put on Abbott that he should fill the vacancy for a heavyweight in the university boxing team. By closing time, it seemed a good idea, but considerably less so when he woke the following morning with a hangover. What happened next is possibly the most intriguing part of the story.

Among Abbott's friends at Oxford was a ''most unusual Jesuit'' from America who took his vow of poverty so seriously he dressed in clothes that had belonged to other priests who had died. He was also a boxer. When Abbott arrived at the gym to declare his unavailability for the Oxford team, he was met by the Jesuit who had gone out and bought him a skipping rope. To a man committed to a life of poverty, a skipping rope represents a major financial outlay. This is like one of those moments in a medieval tale, possibly a comedy, when the knight's honour is engaged. Abbott then believed he had no choice.

In his first bout, against Cambridge, he knocked his opponent out cold in 45 seconds. His second, against a cadet officer from Sandhurst Royal Military College, was also over in the first round. His third bout, against a marine who had fought in the Falklands War and "a much bigger man", was won by Abbott on a TKO when his opponent took his fifth standing count in the second round.

In the fourth and final fight of his career, he triumphed for the second time over a Cambridge man - the bout again being stopped in the first round

Abbott has been exposed to brain trauma in training and in being punched in the head.

He also has a history of being punched in the head ...

On one occasion he was even beaten up at a university conference.[15]

At the University of Sydney Abbott studied law and economics, and engaged with more enthusiasm with the left-wingers who dominated student politics, being beaten up at one conference and eventually becoming the president of the Student Representative Council.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tony_Abbott

Abbott also played rugby as a teenager and was involved in violent fights. More exposure to brain trauma.

(On the rugby field, he landed a few punches himself. He told a friend he yearned to be a hero)

http://www.smh.com.au/national/the-missing-element-of-selfdoubt-20091204-kaxl.html

Abbott is in the high risk group when it comes to Parkinson desease and Alzheimers and so should undergo testing so to protect and slow down any symptoms.

Anyone opposing a brain scan on Abbott is putting their own interests first and that is selfish behaviour.

So a liberal leader with potentially a crippling condition such as alzheimers is acceptable to conservatives because he is expendable.

How about you spend a moment thinking of his family, how devastating it will be to see Tony decline so quickly due to the pressures of politics.

Isn't it time conservates discovered their compassionate side and guide abbott to getting tested for brain trauma.

Abbott is in a very high risk category and since he wants to take a very high pressured position that effects everyone's future, a test before the election will ease concerns.

Why are conservatives scared of science so much.

It is just a brain scan for brain damage.

Prevention over disaster. Think of his and his family interests over your own.

Brain trauma increases the risk of Alzheimers and Parkinsons.

And Abbott boxed without head protection.

As for the fairies, check with Mr Abbott since he spent time in a homosexual hotbed

Quote:
The seminary was in the grip of liberal theologians whose beliefs and disregard of the Vatican were anathema to the conservative Abbott, with his low tolerance of ambiguity and deep need to cleave to authority. To make things worse, like many seminaries St Patrick's had a fairly open homosexual culture.

Yet Mr Brown didn't receive consensual head trauma via the fists of men, like Abbott did.

No he received consensual arse trauma vie the dicks of other men. A life style that results in a higher chance of Neurosyphilis than in other people. Despite the effect this could have on his mental state and ability to do the job, you still voted for him.

I didn't vote for abbott.

When he got home he told his family he'd decided to become a priest. In 1984, at the age of 26, he entered St Patrick's at Manly.

The seminary was in the grip of liberal theologians whose beliefs and disregard of the Vatican were anathema to the conservative Abbott, with his low tolerance of ambiguity and deep need to cleave to authority. In 1987 he quit.

wow... a whole four fights, all with head gear. There would be a number of people on this forum who have had far more fist fights and punches to the head without protection. And to be honest, sometimes it shows.

I love how the gays use this logic. Unless someone is pro gay they must be secretly gay.

If the gays want gay marriage, but it the homophobic people that are stopping it (who are themselves actually gay, just not open about it) then all this whining on both sides is being done by gays. All gay debates are really just gay vs gay. Open gay vs closet gay.

Why don't both sides of the gay population take their little war elsewhere and leave the rest of us alone.

As someone who lost a parent to Alzheimer's I find your trivialization of the disease so as to use it as a cheap form of mudslinging and political scoring disgusting.

There is no indication that Abbott has Alzheimer's. This is just more bullshit from you. You are a sad little man. You are a perfect example of everything that is wrong with the greens party and the type of voters it appeals to.

Bob Brown had a higher chance of Neurosyphilis than many others. You still voted for him.

Speaking of which, you may want to see a doctor...

To make things worse, like many seminaries St Patrick's had a fairly open homosexual culture.

In 1987 he quit.

http://www.smh.com.au/national/the-missing-element-of-selfdoubt-20091204-kaxl.html

Three years in a homosexual hotbed ... no wonder abbott goes all homophobic since this is a behaviour of a closet homosexual.

Being threatened by gays is not a position the vast majority of Australians would consider themselves.

Add to this his three years of being within a hotbed of homosexuals.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6vM3Aatij0

This aside, we are discussing Abbott's high amount of exposure to brain trauma and the ramifications to his health ... not his high amount of exposure to man on man sex and these ramifications.

Abbott's mental health is too important a topic to have conservatives trying to sidetrack off it.

Green hatred of Abbott is completely irrational.
They are only capable of attacking the person and not the policies...  can you believe it?
Have you read Battlelines?
His direct action policy will do more for the environment than a Carbon tax.
Are you aware that he and Andrews were the only voices in the Howard government against the unfair aspects of Workchoices?
Can you name another single politician who does more for his community and charities?
Can you name a single politician who cares so much for the aboriginals that they spend time each year living and helping in aboriginal communities?
Does he measure up Greens?
If not why not eh...
stop swallowing the propaganda and stop playing the man the Greens are Abbott obsessed not because he will be a bad PM but because he just might be PM.

I am not questioning the man's commitment to the ultra right agenda, I am beginning a discussion into mental illness due to head trauma and the effects on the country and it's citizens by having a ronald reagan type as lib leader.

If abbott has brain damage from head trauma, the sooner it is diagnosed, the slower the progression.

I understand conservatives are fearful of change ... this denial is taking it too far.

For the sake of Tony's partner in crime and many children, someone close to Abbott should recommend he undertakes a brain scan.

Why are you scared of discussing brain trauma inflicted onto abbott due to his lifestyle choices of being punched in the head so many times.

Is it because you can not mount a defence because you believe Abbott could have brain trauma damage?

Rather than post on topic, you try and divert.

Why.

Diseases of the brain and mind, including substance abuse, clinical depression and dementia now account for more than 40 percent of all illness. These diseases are devastating for those affected, their families, and for society, costing the Australian economy an estimated $30 billion each year.

We have an insight into Abbott's mental state by saying one thing to one group and the opposite to another.

Now is this a symptom of mental decay of Tony's damaged brain ... or is it a sign that tony is a greater danger due to the larger and more blatant lies he tells everyone.

Lets hope he is a monster of all liar rather than on the slippery slope of dementia.

It is not just four bouts of punched abbott took to his brain.

Abbott also played rugby which exposes the head to tackles.

Then you have abbott's tendency towards violence, with all the brawls and unlawful acts he has been involved in.

And on top of that, the head butting he copped at nigh in the priesthood over those long three years.

What about Rudd's mental health?

Quote:
author  PZ547

I don't 'hate' him. Hate is way too personal a term. I don't personally know him

However, I do detest him

It's my personal opinion that Rudd is mentally unstable

The way he speaks, for one: that 'Schoolkid reading a book to the class' voice he uses. It's not normal. It's not manly. It's affected. He sounds like a precocious ten-year old who's in love with himself

Then there are the Transvestite-type asides which he injects into his Schoolkid-Reading-a-Book style monologues about himself -- when he inserts what he appears to believe is Bruce Willis type 'menace' .... as in his lowered voice as he hissed, 'It's not going to happen' ---
accompanied by a glare like a bitter old auntie who's cake got second-prize at the fete

* All the posturing
* the monologues about himself -- always about him
* the Bates Motel type voices and facial tics
* the self-pity -- invariably when he's caused the problem himself
* the blaming of others - when he's to blame
* the attempts to sound like fifty different people simultaneously
* the venom
* the anger
* the weirdness
* the petulance
* the temper tantrums, like a spoiled brat
* his utter self-absorption to the exclusion of everyone, everything else
* his self-promotion - which isn't matched by reality
* his vengefulness
* his spitefulness
* his unfettered, massive, beyond belief size ego
* his conceit
* his impotence
* his self-serving disloyalty

Just the sight -- let alone the sound -- of Rudd blathering on endlessly about himself ... is enough to cause me to switch off the tv

He seems to believe he is a combination of Churchill, Menzies, JFK, Caesar, Einstein, John Wayne and an entire battalion of Rhodes Scholars, plus

He seems to believe it his destiny to be the ultimate, entire-world's Grand Statesman

To me, Rudd is an impotent, gender-confused little twat who spent (and spends) WAY too much time with himself, envisioning himself as an acknowledged mental and political Giant. In other words, it's my belief he's delusional -- is extremely fantasy-prone -- is literally IN LOVE WITH HIMSELF. To the point I suspect he probably kisses his own reflection in mirrors and hogs the bathroom in order to do so constantly

I think he's mad as a hatter and I'm glad he's been shot down, hopefully for good and in time for an army of psychiatrists to put him in a padded cell for the duration

So I don't know why others hate him

but above are my opinions of him

I think he's nuts -- flat out nuts
