Title: Real Journalism

Hats off to senior Fairfax journo Asele Ferguson. She plans to defy a court order that she release her notes of an interview with John Hancock, son of Gina Reinhardt.

If necessary she will go to jail rather than break a sacred principle.

It is a principle newspaper owners, and sometimes even editors, just don't understand.

If there is a court order there may be a valid reason for it?

She was supheoned by Rhineharts lawyers to disclose and provide copies of every exchange she ever had with Rhineharts kids, be it by email, sms, taped interviews letters, transcripts of interviews, everything ... this is just part of Rhineharts battle with her kids ...

I was once approached by a top lawyer wanting me to give evidence about an interview I had conducted. I refused.  I was amazed to discover the editor, a Pommy halfwit called Geoff Baylis, wouldn't support me. This twit, known to the staff as Secret Squirrel, just didn't seem to understand the principle involved.

Generally, I have no respect for editors.

Utter rubbish there is no evidence the govt is doing anything of the sort. If the Liberals told you blackwas white you'd believe it.
