Title: Patel
Post by Aussie on Mar 13th, 2013 at 5:29pm
Despite the best efforts of the Media who freely described him as Dr Death, Patel has been acquitted.

This was always a political issue as Qld. Health gave him the job, put expectation upon him, he worked his arse off trying to meet those expectations.....and there were regrettable outcomes.  So, they hung him out for sacrifice.

Restores my faith in the legal system.  Well done, 'Law.'

bugger the Media and the Beryl Crosby type vigilantes!

:)

You can get him to remove that chip on your shoulder if your game enough.....

Typical of the lynch mob.  I am so pleased that your kind have been delivered your dues by the Law.  The bloke was and is innocent of wrong-doing.  That you don't have the grace to admit that tells me where the forest is.

Oh....it is gonna be a good year for the Law.  Many good ones lining up!

;)

Maybe he can cure your blindness, too?

Funny stuff, there are actually people around that defend the actions of a psychopath, I guess if they were a doctor they would have done the same thing ... ie kill their patients.

it was all media hype as usual.

While i dont like censorship i do think the media should be stopped from doing these media trials. Seriously the media is made up of large corporations not individuals. It wont harm individual speech rights to stop the media from slandering ppl.

blind freddie could see the dynamics that lead to this one.

quiet country hospital
big fat nurse who ran ICU , probably empty 6 days out of 7 so she could do lots of needlework and knitting
everything more serious than an appendix shipped to brisbane

new gung ho cowboy of a doc.

suddenly big fat nurse is run off her feet,
patel was a bit off the end of the "cowboy" scale but still not a murderer.
typical doctor/nurse fight ensues :D :D

i knew it was a beat up when they charged him with manslaughter of a bloke with cancer of the esophagus.

now , you'd be flat out getting a surgeon in brisbane to tackle that baby.
split the chest, hold the heart and lungs out of the way whilst you resect a lesion in a field of spewing blood vessels.
it was actually a tribute to patel that the bloke didnt die on the table.

most brisbane docs would just send you for a few sessions of radiotherapy as a token gesture.
when you asked for your 6 month appointment to come back to outpatients, the booking nurse would look at you blankly and say
"you wont be needing that"

2 year survival of less than 1 in 20,  a bit rough to try and convict him of murder for at least "having a go"

its interesting how you like to point at the media..claiming TRIAL by MEDIA... yet he has been found not guilty???

so where does that send your theory too sob.???

Patel does not have a Med licence in America??? WHY?  it takes quite a lot for them to take your licence away over there.

I guess you guys will be first in line when he is ready to operate again????

good on ya.

dr. death :D :D :D

the surgeons who are willing to have a go will always have the highest death rate.

though , its probably become common practice now to just send people off without surgery to take pills and suffer :D

1 you dont get sued
2 your complication rate from surgery makes you look good
3 the hospital budget isnt blown
4 you get the avo off to play golf.

ah the public hospitals,  falling into line with public service mentality and delivering (actually not delivering) the public, just the services they deserve  :D :D :D :D

Quite obviously Dr Death should be made Julia Gillards personal physician.
