Title: Until the fat lady sings Post by stryder110011 on Feb 2nd, 2013 at 8:42am
Now believe you me, There is no secret from me that I want the coalition to win this election, and i want the voters to punish Juliar and her labor cahoots hard for the lies, deception and policy management disasters from the queue jumpers across the sea to the carbon tax.
But i will not jump on board and say the coalition has got the election in the bag already, because I could potentially set myself for disappointment come september 14. Yes maybe Juliar has started the election on the wrong foot, Graig Thomsons arrest, Roxon and Evans quitting politics, but there is 8 months to go and a hundred things can happen from now till september 14 where politcal fortunes can swing one way or another, So I say to all those who think the coalition have the election in the bag, DONT, you could set yourselves for disappointment in the same manner that many republicans in america did, when they thought Romney was a sure foot in the white house, because the economy wasnt going so well and obama would be finished because of it. They were very very wrong. Labor has many times being good and better at winning elections more so THAN RUNNING THE COUNTRY, So dont underestimate Labor Maybe you think im being pessimistic, but i wanna wait until the fat lady REALLY sings, AND I DONT MEAN JULIAR OF COURSE LOL, but the coalition |

Finally, a righty who shows a modicum of intelligence. Well done Ryder .... the race hasn't even started yet and some cretins are lining up to collect their winnings. ...

Labor under Juliar havent been above the coalition in the primary vote in 24 MONTHS OR AROUND 2 YEARS and that happened straight after she decided to break her pledge not to bring in the carbon tax in the next government she leads in late january 2011, and mix it in with boat people issue and all other issues Juliar has been on the wrong foot on throughout, so I can understand why some think the coalition has the election in the bag. |

you sound like gillard stryder... fingers crossed something good will happen it always does..
the thing is now we have the net and people dont forget so easily as they once did.. when all they had to rely on was the media to remind them of the past...I still feel Labor treat us like mushrooms...lets have a cash splash we can always rip it back later....ho hum... lets see the dole rise nect budget... forgetting the single parent will be paying for that... a case of taking it with one hand and giving with the other..is that weird??? no just more smoke and mirrors... why are we paying people to send their kids to school... thought that was compulsory???.. stop trying to pull the wool over peoples eyes gillard... it will do you far more good.. |

Ouuuuuuch Cods, I could have percieved that as an insult to me, ;D ;D I dont mean to sound like Gilliard, in fact i feel insulted in a way that im compared to that pathological liar and that lying witch, What im saying here cods is that I feel there is a sense from some people here on this board is that the coalition has the election in the bag and we can afford to feel cocky and im advising DONT, and i kinda understand that FEELING given that the last 24 months that labors primary vote has been below the liberals, IM SAYING STILL BE CAUTIOUS, YOU NEVER EVER REALLY KNOW WHAT MIGHT HAPPEN IN 8 MONTHS TO COME. |
Title: Re: Until the fat lady sings Post by hadrian_now on Feb 3rd, 2013 at 12:09pm
Anything can happen of course. A week is a long time never mind 8 months.
However my gut feeling is the marginal voters & the mortgage belt have already made up their minds that they want a change. They can say what they like about Roxon et al (and others will follow), but they know the game is over. stryder: when they thought Romney was a sure foot in the white house, because the economy wasnt going so well and obama would be finished because of it. They were very very wrong. I think only the true believers thought that, Obama was always the most likely. |

I have to admit, i myself have been taken by surprise, i totally ignored my own advice that i wrote in the opening thread recently
It looks like Kevin Rudd is banking on his supposed charm and appeal to try and make the electorate believe that he is a changed man, and despite the policy blunders and disasters of his first term, and his infamous temper tantrums and bullying manner that makes hypocrites of all these labor sympathizers who accuse abbott of being mean and nasty. Can psycho Kevs bounce make a labor victory possible ??? |

If the voters on here are any indication, there is a possibility that you will all lose if Rudd is re-elected as PM but I think most normal people (Left and Right) will remember what Kevni was like last time he had control of the Government. In case you have forgotten.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BVEaHcyMesQ |

I remember he was actually a good PM ... you've never gotten upset or sworn Neferti? Must be nice being you |

You get no argument from me, but it leaves me and some wondering why some in the electorate are willing to give psycho kev a second chance given the policy blunders of his first term and his infamous psycho fits. |

This time around Kevin doesn't have Wendy and Jewliar advising him while stabbing him in the back.
Thiis time around Kevin makes his own decisions after making the Labor heavies his bitches and destroying Tony Abbott ...now we will see the real Kevin. |

all 4? how about the widespread victims of Abbotts health funding cuts? How many died because of him? Or Howards search for WMD's? How many died there .... How many died on the roads during 12 yrs of liberal govt because they refused to spend anything on infrastructure? I can keep going if you like, but since I've already named thousand to your 4 , I think I'll stop here for now. |

Stryder, you’re a poof.
Allow me. Abbott is a shoe in to win the election, and you’ll be over the moon. Let your hair down - you’ve got nothing to worry about. But if you’re like the rest of Australia, in a year’s time you’ll be wondering what the bugger you went and did. |

Abbott should win but with a small majority. It is likely if he does win he will be a one termer because as karnal just said within a year Abbott will make Gillard look like the most popular PM in history and with piss weak majority he will be out on his ass. |

Nah - mobs are stupid. If the media has swapped sides then whoever they back will win. I dont know yet if they have swapped sides but if they have rudd will get in no worries. Ppl wont realise russ will be removed as soon as the election is over.

It appears that the media is now questioning both leaders and may be treating Kevin better than they did Julia. There are still some (Paul Murray/Andrew Bolt) who haven't realised this as yet. If the worms have turned, then expect Abbott to get some unfavourable stories (if he hasn't already). The 9,400gategategate is troubling for him though. |
