Good. About time. I've been calling for climate engineering since about 2003. Its not like politicians are ever going to agree on anything. These laughable carbon trading schemes are never going to work. I like the idea of sucking the carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere with filters. Ocean sequestration and sulphurising clouds are less predictable. Somebody has to save the planet. Let it be science.

Problem is that theres a better than even chance they'll bugger it up more.  That tends to happen when you toy with things you don't understand.  I'd rather they test their methods on mars first, where it isn't going to doom us all when (not if) it doesn't go according to plan.

Or some military (prolly yank) will use it to do nasty stuff without thinking about the consequences - hmm coulda already happened.
