Title: Should Julia Gillard call an election now?
Post by Armchair_Politician on Oct 10th, 2012 at 12:09pm
A poll in the Daily Telegraph on whether Julia Gillard should call an election now shows almost 86% (or nearly 4000 people) in favour of an election now compared to just over 600 who voted no.

In another poll, respondents were asked in the Sydney Morning Herald which of the two leaders - Gillard or Abbott - had come out worse for wear after yesterday. More than half (53%) believe Gillard came out worse.

Just call an election now, Julia. You're embarrassing yourself with your blatant hypocrisy and sexism.

Should Julia Gillard call an election now?

Part of her agreement with the independents is that this parliament will run full term, I would think she will keep that commitment.

And if there was another election and the result was another hung parliament would you be calling for a third election?

I am not fussed anymore. At first, knowing labor lied to me to get my vote, then sold me out, I was p'd off and wanted another election.

When labor got us into such a big debt from wasteful and incompetent spending, I was p'd off and wanted another election.

Now I am just going with the flow and hope in hell our debt does not reach $300billion and in the knowledge the carbon tax is a dead policy walking.

Yup.

Voted for them in '07, as I'd always done (except 1993).

But didn't last time. And won't next time.

But can't see a viable alternative.

Coalition isn't it, it's the same mob and policies/philosophy I voted against for 15 or more years.

Greens are too 'out there' for me.

And I'm not a fan of independents.

Informal vote coming up, methinks......

I don't think the country could take another hung parliament. Having said that, the differences between the two main parties are glaringly obvious, so I doubt very much we'll see another hung parliament for a very long time (if ever again).

Your confusing the country with Abbott and your shallow self.
I thank you not to project your own insecurities onto me and the rest of my fellow citizens.
