Title: Why The Right Is Wrong Post by Greens_Win on Aug 24th, 2012 at 4:15am
A NEW global fund on climate change that aims to channel $US100 billion ($A95 billion) a year in aid to poor countries selected officials from Australia and South Africa as its leaders at its first meeting.
http://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/breaking-news/aust-s-africa-to-lead-green-climate-fund/story-fn3dxix6-1226457085143 This aid will be spent in areas such as renewable technology and will be brought from leading economies in this field. The old parties don't want renewables to flourish because they want all our eggs in the mines. The food trade, the rightwing old parties want to deal us out of this area too. We could sell excess food along with tech and products so these nations can food proof themselves. But alas LabLibs want short term coal seam gas over a longterm food producing and tech sector. They support dangerous GM crops and the acidification of our oceans via burning coal so destroying our aquaculture potential. The right is wrong and so is their support base. If people continue to support the Right's wrong way, we will find ourselve's one of the poorer countries hoping for a handout. |

redistribution of wealth is all it is.
Just because you say it more than 3 times, does not make it true that it is needed. So the right is not wrong, you are just deceitful. |

now, now greenswin,
we need some pragmatism along with idealism. the green voters of the world still want to surf the internet on computers powered by electricity (and they dont seem to like nuclear which is carbon neutral) they still want to eat tuna sandwiches with their latte's in their inner city apartments. and , no, tuna does not grow in a can. they want to bemoan the state of the starving in india but forget that gm , drought resistant maize probably saves millions from starvation. they want to phone each other on their mobiles to catch up for brunch to discuss gay marriage but they dont want the lithium to be mined in africa which powers their phones. when sarah hanson young moves into a mud hut, grows her armpit hair 3 inches long and rides a brumby to parliament house , i will take green party seriously. but you cant be "do as i say, not as i do' if you want to help save the planet, get behind small business which both here and overseas has much less effect on the environment than big corps. |

To be a Greens supporter is not being anti electric, it's to be pro cheap electricity. Renewables are on track to be cheaper than nuclear and coal in a few years. As a Greens supporter, I don't use caffeine or eat tuna. GM crops are destroying organics and have had no independent health or environmental scientific research into it's effects. Alongside GM is undermining farming in developing nations, undermining food proofing. Recycling Lithium is more logical than dumping it into landfill. And by envisioning Greens as a primitive party, it shows how wrong the right are ... it's about the left revolutionising so Australian living standards don't drop as fast as the pants of a right winger infront of a mining magnate. The Right is Wrong because their thinking is regressive and small. |

primitive is not meant as a putdown.
in fact if youre talking about living simply and having as little effect on the environment as possible i belong to a group of friends who fit that criteria. own a property, shoot a few roos and eat them, grow veges, catch all my own fish. ride a motorbike whenever possible, fish from a kayak . but all these hobbies whilst in my mind being good for the environment are green condemned. and when we organize clean up days, carp busters, cane toad eradication days from bay island, feral deer shoots, the greens are nowhere to be found. why do the greens hate recreational fishing (which must be better than commercial netting). why are they opposed to kangaroo culling (20,000,000 in qld will soon die of starvation). to me we have more important local issues than whales. carp have been washed into the lower murray. a projest to develop gm carp which can only produce sons (ie gm daughterless carp0 could wipe out these destructive fish. yet greens oppose it. |

Wake up Greenboy. We are getting about 3 boats a day full of alleged refugees and asylum shoppers. At that rate by the time this adhoc committee orders the office furniture and advertises for office staff etc most of the poor people from poor countries will be living in Australia. |

The greens oppose pretty much everything. they literally vote NO for 96% of senate bills. They only vote yes to their own bills or something that by accident is their policy as well. |
