New data released by the European Union show that the unemployment rate in the eurozone hit a record high of 11.1 percent in May.

According to Eurostat data agency, more than 17.5 million Europeans were without a job in the single currency area in May.

The figures indicated that more than 3.4 million of European youngsters aged under 25 were jobless in the same month.

There's a great big great depression heading our way.

We've been heading into it since the GFC of 2008 and there has been other governments in Europe throughout those years. No government will save the day now, it's far too late.

It will be almost funny to see the Libs cop the blame when we go under lol

Who should we blame?

Capitalism, peak oil, baby boomers coming into retirement, global warming, greed and a host of other things, all happening at the same time.

Choose your tent carefully, you might be in it for a long time.

And wasnt the US unemployment rate 10 percent a few years ago?

That great bastion of socialism.

And it's gonna get a whole lot worse before (and if) it gets better.

awesome, who will you blame if six months into a Liberal government (if they win) we come into a deep recession?

It would have to be Liberal's fault according to your argument.

You do understand that most of the western world is in for a devastating economic melt down, don't you?
