I have no idea what you are complaining about.....Australia is an island continent and is a large land mass.....Do simple facts upset you mate.....Perhaps if you posted a link people could see the statement in context and add an opinion.....OK!!!

I don't recall Hawke, Keating or Howard making such dumb statements regularly. Every statement is the same ... dumbed downed statements, stated over and over.

How the hell is this suppose to re engage the voters that labor has already lost.

Or are labor after even lower primary polling.

Then if I think Gillard is annoying, which I do, then Labor under Gillard have problems.

Abbott is holding Libs back and Gillard is holding Labor back.
