It's alright CW doesn't understand the situation in Europe in economic terms or political. He wants them all to return to Africa and have the neanderthal return to hid home lands.

Germany certainly is in favour of austerity and for a good reason. The rest of the Euro zone are taking the German economy down. Where do you think the trillions will come from to prop up the Euro zone. There is only one economy with any money, Germany. I actually would think that Germany would be best served if they all got lost and the mark returned. The list grows, it is not just Greece but Italy, Spain, Portugal, France, Netherlands and then even wider in the EC with the UK & Ireland on their absolute economic knees.

Some of us just dont think its a good idea for the Corporate Maggot to be treating peoples countries as if they are empty while he robs them of their wealth and forces them into debt and Austerity.  Defeat the lies of the corporate maggot, the suckhole and the spin doctor with your mind.

OH yes, the corporate world are an appalling lot but have little to do with the situation in Greece, the problem in the Euro zone is government debt, not toxic mortgage debt that took the Uass down. The free and easy credit days that everyone seems to think were the glory Howard days that have taken down the world economies. The Euro zone countries are in pain because they have all lived way beyond there means during the boom instead of doing the one good thing Costello did and pay off your debt when the riches are high. This is the people paying for there own greed, like the Greeks need to pay tax. So why should the Germans allow themselves to be drawn into massive debt to prop up these countries when they have never shown any interest in doing the right thing.

The austerity is necessary ONLY if they want to stay in the Euro (which means continued German financial support).

The alternative is to bail out, reintroduce the drachma and devalue it. Anything local would be affordable but anything imported from Europe would be pretty much out of reach for most Greeks. They could use the tourism income to pay off their debts and there would be no austerity around things they produce themselves.

In other words, it would be austerity without the Germans...

Spot on, so basically if they want to be in the Euro zone they have to cop it sweet. If they leave it will be back to the peasant days. Not what people want but not the end of the world either, at least they get their country back.
