When I was young it was Martians.

The Ice Warriors (Dr Who), Marvin (Bugs Bunny), Uncle Martin (My Favourite Martian), the Great Kazoo (The Flintstones) , The war of the worlds (1898),many more.

I rather like Aliens or predators, not so much ET's.

Is it just me - but isn't Davros the twin of Steven Hawkings?

The only true #1 all-time Alien is the 'Alien' itself from the movie (series) Alien as created by H.R. Giger.

...oh, and the Android itself that is being created from within 'us'. ;) Scary huh - by the time we discover Aliens from outer space, we will be replaced by Androids that we created. ;D ;D ;D
