New South Wales Police officers raided the Sydney offices of the Health Services Union this morning, seizing "a large number of documents and computer equipment."

The search by Strike Force Carnarvon is part of an investigation from September last year, into allegations of fraud committed against the union.

Police have already examined a large amount of union documents and carried out detailed forensic accounting analysis of the union's affairs.

They say they are now seizing documents and computer equipment from the Pitt Street Premises.

labor had started the precedence for liberals (to get involved in union business) to make sure union heads dont rip the members off like has happened in the HSU. But you want that to continue I guess. Well it is not going to be under liberals watch.

It's probably because when FWA were ASKED for the documents to complete the police investigation, they refused to hand them over. So now, the police are just going to take them.

So for all those that seem to think that Craig Thomson is not on the police agenda, think again.

They may yet raid the FWA if the documents they want are found to be missing.

It all feels like it is moving towards a point of criminal charges. That will probably be Gillard's undoing because Thomson will probably resign.

THE union boss Michael Williamson has allegedly been caught attempting to take a bag of documents out of the HSU while a police raid occurs on the premises.

Detectives from Strike Force Carnarvon moved in this morning to raid the premises as part of their investigation into alleged corruption in the Health Services Union.

The head of the fraud squad, Detective Superintendent Colin Dyson, confirmed police were considering charging someone with attempting to hinder the investigation by removing information.

Would like to know if the police were going to go in anyway or only because they were called of the document theft.

Maybe they were waiting for him to do this all along. After all, why look for the documents that will pin him, when you can wait for him to try and steal the documents that would be best read to convict him.

It is a comedy of errors! The entire saga is unravelling rather quickly now. Expect to see Gillard being replaced shortly.

I do hope Jackson comes out of all this with her head up high..I would think most of the 70.000 members would be backing her..
