I've had it with established environment groups in Australia. They equate anti-nuclear and anti-CSG stances with "good for the environment".
All I can say is meh. We need nuclear power and we absolutely need as much CSG as possible (just not in prime agricultural and horticultural regions. Why? - because they both represent a way of significantly reducing carbon footprint in the short term, and that's what we need to do (that goes for everywhere in the world, but we can only control what we do in Australia)
It's no wonder that people are disenchanted with the left wing Greens. They honestly need to get a f***g clue.
Unless we get serious about carbon emissions in every way possible, we'll get nowhere fast. Those deep greens will destroy our future.
In my view, the LNP in Queensland represent the most environmentally effective choice (and, yes - I would like a nuclear reactor in my backyard. It's Earthquake free)
Of course nobody will agree with me, except 21st Century history when it's eventually written.
