Gillard's moves to kill Free Speech in Australia have reached maximum velocity.

I have read the Judge Ray Finkelstein report on the website Kangaroo Court. Even though it is sunny chills run down my spine as I read just how much free comment on sites such as this will be constricted.

This is a black, black day for Australia. Gillard has one agenda only and that is the full and total control of the media and the Internet. 

Her patsy the Left wing Ray Finkelstein has brought down just the formula to achieve this.

Gillard couldn't have done any better than if she literally 'nuked' the media as she threatened when her past was exposed BY 2GB'S Mike Smith (now sacked over his piece on Gillard and her involvement professional and sexual with the  head of the AWU when she was a lawyer with Slater and Gordon). She has by all means and purposes achieved her gaol to kill Free Speech.

All that is left if for the legislation to be passed and it will be SHUT UP AUSTRALIA!

We might follow America and send our political activists to prison for terrorism. That doesn't look like democracy.

Has anyone else experienced actual censorship?

Recently on Yahoo mail I wrote to a friend and included expletives about how The Circle berated Ben Robert Smith VC. I received a knock back by Yahoo Mail on sending the e mail because of the language.

I wrote to them and said, "how dare you read and censor my private mail".

The convener wrote back, very sympathetic. But it is all Stephen Conroy's doings with his super computers in Canberra censoring what we write.

God help us all in this freedom  shrinking FREE COUNTRY.

red baron, can you quote a source? I don't know what this free speech thing is about because it lacks a context. We're not all gobbling up every minute of the news and we don't all have time.

I haven't experienced any censorship yet.

Yahoo pays lip-service to the concept of free-speech, but is actually
decidedly pro-censorship in its operation.

Mneomic., obviously you have been doing selective reading on my posts because  have mapped out in chapter and verse exactly how Gillard is manipulating Free Speech through the manipulations by Stephen Conroy Minister for Communications.

Please Google Judge Ray Finklestein's report and advice on how the Government should shut us all down.

Better still go to Kangaroo Court.com.  They have the whole thing.

This stuff scares me big time.
And its even worse when you realise this law will get bigger and bigger down the track.
They never release controversial laws like this completely, they will add tiny bits every now and then.

I hope this doesn’t happen.

This is where the public should be standing up, protesting, spreading the word, telling your mp's.


This is not designed for the big media, its going to crush the little guy most of all. And that is something we CANNOT HAVE IN AUSTRALIA.

i agree, and whoever is in charge will be happy to oppress whoever they don't want to hear from.

free speech has been dead for 100yrs or more.
